BTW emjay is right... 011 to dial international, 61 is the country code for AU

The Australian number should be in (0x) xxxx-xxxx or 61-x-xxxx-xxxx format. If it has the leading 0 then drop that, and include the rest (9 digits)

This is specific and correct - i couldn't have put it as good

Oh yeah... if it's a mobile it may be written in 04xx-xxx-xxx format, but you're still dropping the leading 0 and dialling the remaining 9 numbers.

If you're calling from a cell you may be able to dial +61 directly, without needing the 011 prefix. On mine, holding down 0 creates a + symbol.

Australia was running ads for international calls before I was old enough to be able to dial them. :winkwink:
