If your new cell phone dies just after a month...

Do they typically give you a refurbished one to replace it?

Bought a new RAZR v3 just a little over a month ago from Cingular and it died tonight. It won't charge or anything. We're going there when they open in the morning but I'm wondering if we'll be shit out of luck? Never had this happen so quickly before

this happened to me with cingular.... as long as there is no water damage or cracks etc... they should replace it. I had to mail in the defective phone, I don't think they gave me a replacement in the meantime but they did give me a nice new box to mail it with.... and wait for the phone .... this was a year ago maybe they care now i don't know ...

alot of people dont realize 90% of refurbished products are as good as the new ones. i dont know with sprint unless its something i did like drop it in the toilet, they replace it for free. i just got my treo replaced about a month ago.

Always pay the extra few bucks for extended warranty...you shouldn't have a problem as long as it wasn't dunked

It has a manufacturer's warranty, which they will be able to swap in the store. I had an issue with the volume on my Q after a couple months... they did the data swap in the store, and gave me a new one. Only thing you'll have to keep is the old battery and the old battery cover (at least that's how Verizon handles it).

I would call cingular instead of going to the store, you will get better service from my experience.

We went to Cingular and they said we could bring it to their service depot, where they will fix it on the spot or give a replacement. That was better news than I anticipated.

Anyway, we got a new Blackberry 8800 while we were there It's awesome!
