What's wrong with it? The virtual plan? I used to have a virtual for years, and not a single problem.

Quick question for you?

How long you been with them?
How many sites and how much cash in your pocket?

Turboface 03-15-2007 03:49 PM

We have been hosting with WebAir since 2001.

It doesn't much impress me like this makes me worried about my IPs.
http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index...&st=0&p=30956&
All my IPs are in the range for blacklisting. Why? :Oh crap
My sites are clean.

Also you promised cp for each domain with virtuals. When this will be starting?

My stat is fucked up also. I have much more visitors to sponsors site
than url from where I send them receive from other refferers,
it doesn't make a sense. I'm pretty sure that sponsor don't lies this way :winkwink: .

You don't answered my message on icq, yet :upsidedow

I have had a small virtual account with them for years, steady as a rock its been , maybe $1-2k per month in profit..

Just one site though as its just a small virtual account

I have small virtual accounts with most of the major hosts.

I built my own custom uptime checker also so i know exactly what downtime i get.. they are about onpar with others i have. def one of the more stable hosts imo

They do have some issues though i have noticed in the past with the issues you mentioned above.. but you will find them to be very compliant

lol thats not webair doing the counting its a piece of software.. dep on the software your using they tend to be a bit buggy. no worries though just use your own.. better yet use the sponsor in my sig to track your traffic.. they have free hosted banners you can just plop on your page that track every visitor by country

Boobs 03-15-2007 04:36 PM

bump for webair :thumbsup

lol nice and creative spam :winkwink:
but on serious note, I was always curious if I can install
another stats software beside Wusage which is default on webair virtuals and how.

Can you point me to some good articles about it.

thanks

tenderobject 03-15-2007 05:22 PM

nice offer! thinking of getting a virtual acct for blogs.. but.... they're still hosting zuzanadesigns which scammed me. ekkkk

Any of you guys that stick up for them are probrably in on this as well...

I find it a bit odd that this rep from WEBAIR would post an ad for his shit so close in time to another thread about the RUSSIAN EPIDEMIC OF TRAFFIC REDIRECTION.....

Oh And I would Like to see if I can get him back on this thread to comment on it?

They still havent denied being involved...:thumbsup

I can't speak for other hosts but for what it's worth (take it or leave it) I had a virtual account with Webair and I knew absolutely nothing aboot the interweb. Their support was always far above what I expected for a 10/bucks a month account, they never talked to me like I was an idiot (which I was...) explained to me what was wrong and how to fix it, and then fixed it for me. I can't ask for more.

By the way I see you support Webair and CCbill can you tell us a little about what they pay you to pull this stuff?

kaori 03-16-2007 06:58 AM

wow...
that seems almost unbeatable! might be time to move some sites over!
I'm assuming there are MANY more clients on those starter/basic packages, and we'll definitely see slower performance?

...nothing new with webair problems..

found bunch of auto popup and installers on my sites..so loaded up Firefox and reported them to webair...and got a message saying it's probably my fault...<<<<<<<<<(Why is that?)
so i opened up internet explorer (without popup blocker) and went to their control panel..and there it was..an nice codec installer <<<<<<<(Thats strange)popup in their ticket reporting system

...as a reward for reporting their system's error.. currently i'm not allowed to change permissions of my directories...anytime i chmod a directory.. it get reverted to their permissions by the night....

This is the best part... their support left a ticket replying that they would be happy to modify my previously running scripts to accomodate my limited permissions on my space for a price!<<(common bullshit)

Its funny how webair never takes responsibility for their mistakes and blame always gets pointed back to the person reporting an error in their system

so far.. i've hopped thru a few hosting companies.. servage, accuburst,... i guess webair is soon going to be added into that list

Thanks alot Sonny:thumbsup

Exactly :2 cents: I have read sooooo many threads about their lack of support, especially on their virtuals it's unreal, probabally more negative threads than any other host. :2 cents:

I have both a virtual and dedicated account with Webair and while no host is perfect (Webair's stats program does not work as mentioned above) they have by far the best support of any host I have been with. Other hosts talk about 24 hours support but Webair actually has it. I know because I must bug those poor live support guys like 20 times a day and they invariably fix my problem or answer my question. It allows me to be a lot more productive when I can hit up live support to solve an issue or get an answer to a question instead of filling out a support ticket and waiting a day to get some non helpful response like happens with most hosts.

I would recommend Webair to anyone who likes to have a lot of hands on support 24/7. Additionally in my 5 years with Webair my sites have never been down for more than a few minutes...... no 12 hours downtime every six months for some disaster like with all my other hosts.

Vendzilla 03-16-2007 09:29 AM

I've been with Webair for a couple years now, everytime I get a new customer for comus, they ask where should I host?, I always tell them WEBAIR, and they have never come back to tell me anything bad about that, They have a good product, and my sites are running in good hands!

HomerSimpson 03-16-2007 10:09 AM

WebAir rocks for me... and I really can't complain...

allteengalleries 03-16-2007 10:11 AM

I pay 9.95mnth for 5 gigs of space and 75 gigs of bandwidth. wowza. I think it might be time for me to jump ship.
