I have some questions about this city.

I spent around a week there this summer.

take it u guys have seen hostel- the movie?
after that i take it alot of people are shit scared to visit...

although, ive heard good things... and tht the movie wasnt actually filmed in bratislava??

That's all I heard about before I left, didn't bother me. I think it was actually filmed in Czech somewhere.

Uhm dude... Watching Hostel makes me wanna visit even more. The clubs, the bars, restaraunts etc.... The part in the move where they were killed and almost killed isn't real man...

don't they go to Bratislava in Euro Trip too?

i live in vienna, its not that far from here. i hear it is a great city, but havent made it out there myself yet.

I thought it was a bit empty and not very interesting when I visited a few weeks ago.

I have been to Brat. many times, great city - growing, getting more high tech, etc, etc.

Still alot of older / somewhat run down building, etc but after so many yrs of communist rule - it takes time to get up to speed.

I declared 'hostel' the shittiest movie I've ever seen - the place of fame was taken by 'blair witch project' before.
shitty actors, shitty screenplay, annoying music and gratuitous gore
to top it: now all ignorants think bratislava is full of criminals ... never forget: hostel is "based on a true story"

I was in Bratislava last summer and I really liked it. Also other parts of Slovakia are nice, especially if you like nature scenary. The people are very friendly. Definitly I will be there more ...

Shops & Banks are open until 9:00-10:00 PM.
There are 8 big malls, 4 of them opened 24/7.
There are many restaurants & bars in the city centre.
The most beautiful girls live there. :)
