Brad Delp's death was a suicide
 

I just heard it on local news radio. The family of Boston's lead singer Brad Delp has issued a statement saying his death was a suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning.

He apparently left two notes, neither of which has been made public.

He was 55.

sad news. RIP Brad.

He was engaged to be married and Boston was all set to embark on a summer tour this year.

Makes you wonder what sort of shit the guy was going through that would drive him to this.

On the surface it looks like he had it all, or at least a lot to live for.

From experience, this is not uncommon. It happens most in what they term "teen suicides" - those that are done in the younger years - where it's an impulse act, and those (Richard Jeni is another example) who are in the spotlight and have a public face they present.

I hated Boston, but suicide is just sad anyway. Hopefully he found some peace with whatever was troubling him
