Anyways, they're ok vehicles, but their 4banger is weak. If you can afford it, I'd personally lean more towards the Rav4. Your resell value will be that much better in the end as well.

what country do you live in? I know cars in other countries can be crazy expensive...and the difference between a Kia and RAV4 would be a bigger difference than here in USA...

KIA is not a bad car, they just have a bad stigma in the USA...

I'd go for the rav 4 or the hyundai santa fe over the sportage.

I'm into SUVs and when buying a Sportage you get what you pay for. Just make sure NOT to go with the 2WD base model, it sucks.

But personally I'd get a bit more money and go for the Mitsubishi Pajero

rav 4, crv, or even the Saturn VUE would be better choices for you

and what about Chevrolet Captiva ?

Until a few months ago, my girlfriend was driving a Kia Sorrento. Wow was that a great truck for the money. I saw the new ones at the Auto Show last week and for a second I thought it was a BMW...they totally bit off the X3/X5 front end.

real jeeps burns a lot of petrol, it's expensive here in EU.

I`m not sure KIA is the solution,have given any thought about the alternatives,there are a lot of cars from which you could choose.
