I am sure this isn't a moral or religious campaign? I wonder how the US would feel if another country, say in the third world, refused to allow a citizen to take western medicine to save their life because it was against that country's religious beliefs? : ) I guess that would be deemed the identity of some rogue, war torn, barbaric third world country now wouldn't it?

Or how would people in Los Angeles feel if a family in Utah didn't allow their kid to be treated by a hospital?

lets stop pretending that the "i need marijuana to stay alive" is a reasonable and realistic argument.

... a person can claim they need to drink the fresh blood of freshly killed 9 year old girls to stay alive or anything else. that doesn't make it a medical fact or acceptable by law.

What difference does it make? Are you a doctor?

Would you rather have an old judge make the call, or a doctor?

the medical profession has made the call right? its not like they are all screaming and yelling "hey man... give this chick her pot dude"

and to clarify, i dont think there is good cause or reason to make marijuana illegal. i understand the history of it and why it is and underestand that it was largely the work of one disturbed person. i just think the arguments for it are always weak and misguided. its about image and stigma... not whether or not it makes great rope or helps glaucoma. one person made it illegal and 300,000,000 in the year 2007 cant reverse it?

If they could find a way to tax most of it, it would be legal. Fuckin' government asswipes.

I saw that on the news today too. I laughed out loud and no I wasn't baked. It just does not make any sense. The only thing that makes this terminally ill woman feel better is pot but the government says no, you must suffer because pot is uhmm bad we think. Sad yes, funny too though.

There are tons of religious nuts in the USA that don't allow their children to treated by modern medicine, and of course a good bunch of them die. But it is God's will :1orglaugh
