Arri D-20 Camera

Damn has anyone seen this baby!!! ...

I'm taking the seminar next week for the arri D-20 Camera .... This is a film less/tapeless Hard drive Record HD digital Film Camera, takes only Prime Lens has the same feel as the Arri 3. I think it retails for 400 000 $ +

one of my mainstream clients signed me up for the seminar .. should be interesting to say the least

You are thinking to make Mission Impossible IV?

lol .. most poeple don't know that I am still quite active as a camera operator and steadicam op. in the broadcast field ...

And for me, coming from a broadcast background .. I always try to stay atop technical advancements with the production industry ...

Since this particular Client feels I should be at this seminar .. My guess is he's got plans for me to shoot with this cam .. or recreate the look that this cam can do . What ever his reasons I would never say no to a seminar.

And Maybe not Mission Impossible IV but perhaps Slap Cock and Eat My Ass 1 thru to 8 ... LOL

maybe he'll get you a Red camera system. Much cheaper and they have a B4 Lens Adapter.

LOL .. Actually he's had that cam on order for the last 2 years .. since the developement stage ...

they promised delivery for Jan 07 .. then for march .. now they're saying for after NAB ...

Still not the same CMOS as the arri .. a great camera though for under 20 000$ .... Should be popular if it ever does come out of Development

My very first broadcast camera that I bought was a BVW 637 a ... 35 000$ ... Imagine for the last 6 years I've shot more with my PD 150 (has the same resolution as the 637) then I ever shot with my ol' betacam .. I'd be lucky to get 2500$ for my old cam now. However my PD150 would fair the same price.
