Been a member since day one, just not an active poster lately.

I tried signing up for the board, had some bs problems and other stuff - never went back - seem to have a real attitude over there that I really dont need in my life.

I'm pretty sure GFY is past the point of being insecure about other boards being mentioned here.... at least i'd hope so.

I really do not wish to drag my personal feelings about the board over to another one. really isnt a good idea. let others make up their own minds. as it stands, posting about another board is a banning offense here and I prefer not to be near the fallout

To answer the question, yes, I visit GG&J's board from time to time.

Fuck Greenguy and Jim, I got a lifetime ban because I made an announcement that we bought bookmark.com and the retard bans me :1orglaugh :1orglaugh . The board is Shit anyways. Keep banning people Greenguy and see how long you piece of shit board lasts.

Went to login after I read this thread and it said I was banned for "Spamming" all I did was post that we bought bookmark.com. It says "ban will be lifted: Never" LOL too funny

Nope, because I'm banned as well. Only had what, 5 posts on his board and I got banned for spamming. Nice guy :thumbsup

I saw your same post on.... I think JBM, yesterday. It didn't read as spam to me, but then again I often find that my idea of what spam is differs from what many others think it is. A visit to just about any mainstream board out there will soon show anyone what I mean by that.


You know, over the years I have had occasion to make announcements on various adult wm boards. Before I hit the one's I'm not too sure about I contact the admins to check with them first as to if what I want to post is okay with them. In just about every case the admin has come back with "Sure, and thanks for checking with me first, I really appreciate that"

I know it takes extra time, but maybe try that in future.

Yeah that sucks. There are a lot of rules and what not regarding what you can and cannot post, what is considered spam, and you can only have XX amount of characters in your sig or something.

He runs a very ordered house over there, I must give him that. I won't say one board is superior to any other though, I appreciate each for different things.

It was posted in the General Business Knowledge forum. Not sure how it breaks the rule, considering it is Business Knowledge and its nice to see a blanket ban without even offering to contact someone in question of anything being against the rules.

Lets see if the SlickCash announcement gets deleted/moved and all posters affiliated with SlickCash banned.

It probably would have made all the difference if your program were a paying advertiser on their board.

I dont' know about Slickcash, I see their post there but do they advertise on GG&Jim? Because that is usually the deciding factor. PussyCash also has an announcement thread over there but PussyCash is a paid advertiser.

That may be the very basis for his decision to nuke you.

There's a slight difference between what you posted and what is being discussed here. This post is simply a question asking who who here goes there.

Your thread was more inflamatory, saying they suck, which invites nothing but bad feelings between the two boards, a headache I'm sure Lensman & Co. would prefer to keep to a minimum.

SlickCash is a paid advertiser there, I just checked. The thread announcing the acquisition of Mark's Bookmark by PB was pure spam, disguised as an announcement. I would've banned them for that too.

We used to be a major advertiser on that board. Once we cancelled hes been a pure prick since.

Honestly, I don't know if I'd have had the nads to go trying to post "announcements" on a board that I no longer advertise on. At least not without privately contacting the owner or admin first.

That obviously goes without question. But a blanket perma-ban for one post without any prior notice or anything? That seems rather extreme, considering PB has advertised on their boards in the past.

Its fine though. They can go ahead rub one out over it. At the end of the day, it reflects rather badly upon them.

I don't always agree with TD or the other mods here, and this seems to be one of the cases I guess. The guy merely asked a question, no link, no encouraging anyone to go to another board... just a question.

The day we are limited in what we are allowed to discuss is a sad day indeed.

So I wouldn't be gloating too much over "being right" about this one.

They dont let you post such announcements in the general forum. You have to use the forum made for announcements there.

Yup, if you want to post announcements over there, you get to put them in a spam forum that nobody ever reads, which effectively makes it a total waste of time. They are in it for the money, and when you aren't paying them, you aren't welcome.

I would say that probably 90% of the people who go there also come here, so your announcements get noticed here anyway.
