Help... if you can!-Computer or Site Hack?

Due to al the recent Redirection activity I would like to share with you my story.

It was about one month ago I put up a new site.Like any new site I was feeding it with some good quality traffic from several of my other clean sites.

The new site was also clean, thats how I roll.
So as any new site you want to get some new trades going.

I started off trading with like sites(Same niche and size)traffic started picking up more so I thought I would link it up with another site of mine that has been Idol for two years(under 1k a day).

This is where the problems started:

I started clicking around on the new site to see how the flow was going and I would land around on a few sites in which I had no conjunction with.

No ties at all it seemed to any of my trades either. ?????

Ok I though well it is probrably the 2%skim.

To my surprize my old site in which I had linked up with and never had any problems with was also doing this(only on a more steady basis)
it seemed that this old site of mine that almost every click would be sent to not one of my galleries or trades but in fact the same sites that I had no conjunction with on my new site.

Only on this site I would say the percentage was like 99% to these sites and 1%to my galleries!

ok so figuring that I closed down all trades on my old site only one or two were still even active and my plan was to give it a face lift anyway so I deleted them all even my own new site!

Still happened!!

No trades at all = no redirects
No trades at all =100% galleries

So what the fuck is going on?

Then two days later I check out the new site to find that my skim is set alil too high for my trades so I lower it 5%.

Trades look good after 24 hours but now when I click around Im getting more of these no conjunction to at all sites!!!!!!!!

What the fuck?

A friend of mine uses a mac and he checksout my site from his local and he gets what he should!

I dont....

If I raise the skim I do????

Fucking weird right??

if I lower it I get the no conjunction sites and if I raise it I dont!

Can anyone please tell me what they think is going on here?

Any advice at all or like stories would help at this point I am aware of all the recent codec shit and Id like to find out if it has affected me!:(

Im going NUCKIN FUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I have ran adaware alot and my system is comming up clean so

Another thing I thought it could be is my tradesript someone apparently tried to get in a couple weeks ago with user/pass afew times.

Then to my surprize they did with user/ pass!

how can this be and what the hell would anyone want with a small site?

So I call my host up and they reset and say everything looks good nothing was touched.........
I still get this shit!

Completely delete your tradescript and reinstall it, new directory and all. This time, use a strong password, like f9uK54lKoP, with letters, numbers, and caps.

And yes by the way I use that format as well and thats why I cant figure any of this out!
What idiot in their right mind wouldnt use a(STRONG PASSWORD)!

Like I said My friend says hes not getting this from his end.

So that leads me to believe that it could be my PC however if it was my PC why would setting the skim affect any redirect and why wouldnt I be getting this with all sites that I visit/or trade with?

Perhaps if you post the URL we can check it...

(Don't make it linkable if you think it has exploits.)

If you had a strong password and someone still gained access, it may be a breach in the code, or someone brute force hacked it. You can try a different script, or better yet, create an .htaccess file in your tradescript directory that only allows access from YOUR ip.

If you are unfamiliar with htaccess I'm sure your host would be able to secure your tradescript directory to your IP.

So you tend to think it is my script rather than my pc?

I would certainly like to think it is my script that would save me alot of time and aggravation but of course you did read how from my friends computer things looked normal right?

See thats the weird part............Also what is very strange is it is always the same group of foreign sites I can list them if you would like!

One highly strange thing about them is they all seem to have no contact info ICQ or otherwise!

It's obviously your trade script. That or you have some really sweet spyware / adware etc. on your pc ...

Could it be that my script now has to be re installed?

Sounds like you do have some spyware. download something like spybot and clean out your system. ask your friends to click around and report the URLs they are being forwarded to. Last but not least, check files on your site for redirects. I remember hearing about someone before that had someone ater their htaccess file to redirect all links on the site to another domain.

Why work backwards when you can just tell us your URL, we all load it and say - no, we don't get the redirect - then we go from there.

Adaware and spybot are almost useless with the new stuff that keeps surfacing every day. Try these:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

http://www.xblock.com/onlinescan.php

They're two free online scans from highly reputable companies. I have these links on many of my sites and I use them a lot.

Everyone here should bookmark these sites, webmasters and surfers alike, especially surfers. :)
