Photoshop CS2 Question - Help!
how do you select a shape on a layer? with other versions, you could just hold down "ctrl" and click the layer. how do you do it with CS2?
|
The same way..
|
when i do it, nothing happens. the cursor doesn't change or anything. weird. :(
|
hmm.. don't know what to say, lol. works just fine for me.
You DO mean, that you're clicking the layer from the 'layers' menu on the righthand side of the screen with your crtl+mouse? ..not the actual layer on the image you edit. |
Click on pen tool with layer highlighted, should then be able to select the shape using pen tool.
But really you should have the shape in a separate layer. :2 cents: |
try turning it to a vector or using the magic wand

anyway, thanks. i will keep trying to figure it out. |
you have to make the shape on it's own layer, or it will just become part of the whole layer you put it on. ie. if you have a photo layer, and you draw a shape on that layer without making a new layer, that shape becomes part of the photo layer, so you can't select just the shape.

I thought we be waiting on CS3 to drop ? ?
