Cologroup down
 
This wont come as a surprise to some I suppose but at least one cologroup server seems to be down. Anybody else got problems?

Sites are up, I am not sure what happened as I am in Miami. I do know it did not effect everyone, and teh techs said nothing was changed or fixed, so it was a temporary problem that appears to be related our uplink provider, not a misshap by Cologroup. REgardless, downtime is not good but it is working now. If you still have any problems, you can call me at 408-209-8949 and I wil have it looked at asap. I assume the opinion of 1 or 2 people does not reflect everyone, so Tipsy and anyone else who has had a problem, just email [email protected] and I will hook you up for the trouble. We have a lot of satisfied customers and I would like to know what your problems have been so they can be worked on. If I could do anything else, let me know.

Oh yeah, they are up. Not.

bsd60.cologroup.com is still down.

Can you at least verify before posting a message saying that it's back on? My signature image is also not loading, it's on bsd60.cologroup.com

Still showing as down for me. The original post was to see if it was me or the server but I still cant access the server direct through ftp or my site....

Thats the one. I'm on the same as you BSD60 and was quite specific in the trouble ticket. Most definately not up yet and over an hour is a lot of outage.

Well, just found out what is wrong and it is being fixed. Looks like someone just lost their job when I get back, which should eliminate any fuutre problems. A specific tech, brought down a switch, which is why multiple servers went offline. And, if anyone knows how screwed up the Hotel Internet access is here, you would understand why I could not do not much in the way of diagnosing the problem from here. I am basically on a big TV screen where I can hardly read what I am typing. So, if it makes you feel any better, someone is loosing their job over this one. I wont keep a tech around that takes 20 servers offline for almost an hour and then says nothing is wrong when I call. Thanks for pointing this out Tipsy. Email me your account name and I'll take care of you....same with anyone else who went down. Needless to say, if there is a time to not go down, it would be this weekend. If all is fixed, see some of you guys on the boat.

Thanks, good idea, but I think his goodbye from me will be good enough. Good thing is, we have a new tech coming on the 15th anyways, so it should all work out well. I will post him name on the 16th when I ge back to his office, so at least you guys know who it was. And, I can say it is not swampfox, just so you all know....He has been great and I have many compliments about him. Also, anyone effected by this, please email [email protected]. I am not blaming anyone but the tech on duty who screwed it up....I thought it was our upstream, because my tech told me nothing was wrong and nothing was changed. He is gone..

I'd like to know who tellseveryone BGP will fix everything, having workin the in the core of the Internet for more then 5years I can tell you don;twant most of your hosts even think in about running BGP
