I am not worried one bit, it will be total chaos and i think lawsuits are gunna fly like crazy over domains and rights to those domains

but my main goal when they release the .xxx out of the gate is to at least grab occash.xxx, 2inthestink.xxx, brazilbang.com and jays-xxx-links.xxx

I am VERY scared of xxxjay, because I think he can actually last longer than me with an 8ball and 2 fifths of bushmills

Not worried at all. I am not a domain squatter.

However, I still oppose it because I do not like the triple X ghetto, and that making it easy to block in bulk everyone via ISP's, among other reasons.

If it werent for GFYers dooking in their pants over .xxx and starting threads everyday, I wouldnt have given it a second thought. Nothing will come of .xxx.

i will adapt. however that extra cost for nothing is bs. and it's gonna get ugly on the legal front over trademark issues.

I think that .xxx is an effort by the "big boys" of the industry to squeeze out the little guy. It's well known who a couple of them are, the rest are well hidden.

Between the absurd price per domain, the eminent issues with domain squatting and pre-purchased domains before "the public" even has a chance at registering them. Then there will be the predictable $$ driven legislation that will force us all into a very small, well-regulated box that will be incredibly profitable for those who have and make it impossible for those who don't to get in any more.

All this .xxx bullshit is just another example of the 21st century golden rule:

Not scared of .xxx at all, because it won't pass. Even if it does pass, it'll be years before government regulations kick in because politicians are fat lazy slobs who can't agree on jack shit. I don't think domain squatting will enter the picture, or at least not in any major way, given the prohibitive price for even legit webmasters who make an honest living in an honest business.

With present trends moving towards more conservative societies and the already constant erosion of freedoms all over the world, why would anyone agree to being put into a box? (regardless of how much money they might make on the outbreak)

Just like strip clubs in communities that don't want that "sort of thing" in their neighborhood anymore, the adult entertainment industry potentially could be pushed to the side with the advent of .xxx and relegated to the darkest corners of the internet.
