Is there a reason?

Or are they just plain stupid?

I'm talking about the tons of small tgp owners who put up links to the huge tgps, like the hun and worldsex.
Why do they do this? They have no chance whatsoever to receive any return traffic, and instead send their bookmarkers away to cleaner sites. Needless to say they give those sites better link positions than their own trades, thus sending quality traffic to sites that won't return anything, and sending blind traffic to the sites they're trading with.

I just don't get it. Why are they doing this?! Why waste good traffic?

Oooh oooh, I have one!

Is there a reason for drive up ATMs to have Braille on the buttons?

I've always wondered that. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explaination on the business end of things, but I've decided to let someone just answer it for me ~ because I can't be bothered.

Thanks in advance :) :) :)

If a store is open 24 hours a day why do they have locks on their doors..?

:thumbsup

When my boy bought his first bar in New orleans, he was amazed to find out 2 weird laws, by ordinance, he HAD to have a sign in view stating it is legal to smoke cigarettes in the bar. And second that even though his bar was 24 hours, he LEGALLY HAD to have a door or he could not obtain his liquor license.

Weird but his bars kick ass.

Whaddayamean... the hun wont send me any traffic in return?!

I've been caching traffic for over 3 years now and i was
wondering why he didnt send back those 23.343 hits..

Thanks for clearing that up!

:thumbsup

Well ok: having links to 'big sites' sometimes
makes it easier to get a link exchange on
smaller TGP's since the owners MAY think you
get traffic in return or are in any other way
affiliated with those 'big sites'..

It's an image thing for some.. and others are
just plain stupid.

Even better, maybe Amp can answer this, if Hawaii is in the middle of the Ocean why are there Interstate highways? What state does it connect to?
I can answer this one.

They are not like the I-5 or the I-90. They are known as things like the H-1 and H-2. As for Oahu, they are there mainly as a means to get from Pearl Harbor to Kaneohe Bay military bases.

In WW2 they developed what is known as the Eisenhower Interstate system. Every so often you get at least 1/2 of a mile of straight road which can be easily converted into an aircraft runway in times of war. Since the beginning of WW2 this was an obvious priority, especially in Hawaii.

Yup. Also, there's a school of thought that says some search engines may use a site's links out in determining page rank. That's one reason some people use Google as an exit link.

I don't know if there's any merit to it, but hey, whatever works.

As for Cheshires question, the answer lyes in the manufactoring costs. The buttons are created in bulk, it would be more expensive to create buttons without brail for drive thru bank machines then the use buttons from an existing lot that has been manufactured for generic use.
I think it is actually required by law that they be in Braille. This is so that blind people don't have to give their PIN number to people (scummy Arab cab drivers etc.) to use the machines.
