Sponsors That Do Not Support Affiliate Theft Please!!!!!

As to all the hype about affiliate theft that has been flying around on several Adult boards over the last couple weeks I would like to hear back from some sponsors.

Do you or could you please convert all of you affiliates codes to (PRIVATE KEYS) instead of Public text?

Thus eliminating this redirection of affiliates sales!

This would also greaten trust in all.

Deputy Chief Command 03-11-2007 10:21 AM

let the affiliate sale be with you

Lanceman 03-11-2007 12:46 PM

let all sales be with the proper person not some worthless scum jacker!
What Im asking here is for some sponsors to come forward and bring this subject out into the light not let it be left in the dark..........

I would like to hear how sponsors can protect the webmasters and Prevent this redirection of sales through Piracy.

Come on guys Im waiting..............

if I not mistaken, doesn't Loot Daddy already do this?

Lanceman 03-11-2007 12:55 PM

I am really unaware of exactly how any sponsor does this!

The point of discussion is to let sponsors know that we as webmasters are not going to tolerate this activity.

They need to get on this and communicate with all the big wigs out here that are concerned about this matter!

Like I said waiting............

LionDollars have individually encrypted linking codes which automatically defeat these types of fraud attempts - no one can ever just search end replace linking codes for their own ;-)

Bank more with us.

Always.

Please see my new post on Anti Spyware Coalition sign up, if you have any questions on what this is please read this:

Why can't we form a group, say the " anti spyware coalition ". Why can't affiliates donate $50 a month to this and sponsors donate $500 a month.

If just 100 affiliates anti up and just 10 sponsors that is $10,000 a month. apoint a board, hire a couple full time well qualified anti spyware people to start working on this. 10K a month should hire a couple really qualified people.

the more people who join the group the lower we can reduce the fees. $50 x 100 is the same as 1000 x $5 so fees could be lowered as more people join and/or more people could be hired to work on it.

If you make even $1,000 a month what is $50 to help fight this. Sponsors, if you make millions a month what is $500 ?. :thumbsup

I have posted how I prevent it from going on with my site. No one really cares and they will continue to send their traffic and bitch about it. I know what site every join comes from and if one ever gets stolen they will be banned asap

encrypting an affiliate ID isn't going to do much when they can jack the URL and replace it with their own encrypted ID...

we actually toyed with this idea when we relaunched vivid cash because some affiliates may not want their usernames visible for whatever reason. that's why we use numeric id's instead in our link codes. it's possible for us to encrypt them very easily but i'm not sure what the point is if you're worried about adware jacking traffic...

in terms of campaigns, we left those alone so that affiliates can easily see which campaign they are using when they are designing their pages and galleries and it's easy to swap out say 'source1' for 'source2'

also i won't go into too much detail on how we encode our url strings after we handle inbound hits, but check out http://www.vivid.com, is that what you're talking about?
