I'm like going outta my mind here.

I didn't have a favorite action movie UNTIL TONIGHT.

That movie was by far one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.

I never see a movie mroe than once in the theatres, last one I did it for was Fight Club - but I am going again to this bitch.

The people having spanish conversations behind us, the packed theatre, the long line, the heat of the fucking place - none of it bothered me too much b/c the movie was so fucking awesome!

Go see this mo'fucker asap!

my friend managers a movie theater...got to see a private screening last night with a few others and lots of beer. definitely a great movie.

Really not an action movie (in my book). It is based on actual events. They had some great shit on it on The History Channel Thursday. It looks a little artsy fartsy but that won't stop me from going. I just hope no Spanish speakers sit behind me.

Tried to see it at the IMAX tonight midnight show but it was sold out for today and tomorrow.. :( Gotta catch it there sometime during the week...

I saw it. It was a great movie. I compare it to the Lord Of The Rings, in that it has spectacular characters, special effects, and imagery never seen before.

They have it playing at the Imax theater here, I want to see it there.

Very true. Some of the things it used were definitely inspired by Lord of the Rings, theres no question about that......like the huge battle giant ogre-like creature. It was definitely spectacular like LOTR was, too.

I thought it was awesome and I was highly skeptical before going to see it.

As far as history, it follows Herodotus - believe him or not - pretty closely to my recollection. I'll assumethe creature-ness of some of the characters is symbolic or maybe it is just cuz comic book adaptation stuff. Xerxes even ACTS like Herodotus' Xerxes.

Imagery was beautiful.

I'll see it in 2009 when it FINALLY comes to teathers in Norway! :) lol

I saw it last night and I have to agree with everyone else, it was AWESOME !! I was totally blown away !! DEFINATELY one of the best movies that I've seen. I think I'll have to go see it again.

2 weeks untill it'll be viewed in Poland :)

This movie was the shit no doubt! I saw it last night, and it gives you such a rush of what honor, and tradition, and bravery is all about.

I just hate going to the theatre. Between the lady 2 rows in front that won't turn her cell off and takes the call 3/4's the way in, to the group of adolescents laughing and unfunny parts, there's at least 10 people that need their teeth bashed in everytime I go. :mad:

Can't wait for the drive-in to open up again. At least there, I can spew rocks w/ my MTR's over anyone that left their lights on :banana

well it was based on a comic book that was based on actual events but my dad who is a history buff saw it this weekend and said from a historical point of view, it was total shit.

hmm im not a fan of all that fantasy shit, couldnt stand LOTR.. i think harry potter is a little fag- but im lookin forward to seein this- the previews looked grreat!

I just saw it. It is like the best parts of Gladiator and LOTR all in one movie without all of the boring BS in the middle. Non-stop action from start to finish. An instant classic to say the least!

I can't wait I am seeing it on IMAX this week, it should be fucking insane!
