Brad was a personal friend of mine. Known him for 12 years.
He lives about 10 minutes away from me.

Used to hang around with him, & Barry Goudreau.

He was doing alot of local pub/club gigs doing Beatles covers under the name Beatle Juice. :( :(

Both of them spent alot of time in Salem, MA, which was my hometown before moving north.

Barry lives one town over from Salem.

I think there'll be a shitload of drinking tonight at the Baybridge..

That's one of the old watering holes they hung out at alot..
Me, I don't drink so haven't been there in years.. guess I'm heading there now.. :(

Yea - my thoughts exactly! I have a lot of fond memories listening to their music when I was growing up. Boston was one of the first bands I had ever seen in concert! I had front row seats - they blew me away! I can still remember it like it was yesterday :(

DaddyHalbucks 03-09-2007 10:53 PM

Sorry to hear that. They were a great band.

Mutt 03-10-2007 12:41 AM

damn - Boston was the first rock concert I went to - think i was 12 or 13. that first album was huge. can't say i was a huge fan but they are a definite touchstone type of band for somebody in the 40-45 age group.

sounds like he probably had a heart attack or stroke from the police report.

hmm...... now i think of it maybe ELO was the first concert for me.

getting old sucks - not one thing positive about it. wisdom shmisdom.

RIP. Great summer memories tied to their tunes for me...

I still remember seeing Boston on their Third Stage tour at Kingswood Theatre (Toronto) - an awesome concert.

Remember that one, Jimmer?

Kingswood is an outdoor venue - and that night it was storming all around the city....except Kingswood. Mother Nature must've been a Boston fan that night.

Sad day for Boston fans. Delp's voice was one of the greats.
