Bimini: bim-un-ee. Around boaters, it refers to a canvas or other flexible material covering over the cockpit of a sailboat(usually). Probly named after the Bimini islands in the bahamas. I guess that you would want a covering only when in a storm down there, the rest of the time, you can roll/fold it up and sail in the sun.
