Can someone give a brief recap on how Venom came to be? I kind of stopped reading comics shortly after Spiderman got the black costume back in Secret Wars (the first series).

I think the costume, being an alien symbiote went nuts when spiderman abandoned it, and bonded with the guy who is venom now. This from my distant memory. Could be distorted by time.

Other than the kind of weak CG, it looks pretty entertaining! I'm sure it will be at least as good as the 2nd movie.

i just wanted to point out that the origins of venom tend to change with every incarnatiopn of spiderman, for example in the new spiderman unlimited i believe the venom symbiote was infact something that parkers and osbourne's farthers created

saw it on TV looks good but they needed to show more action
