Average clickthru on galleries

Hi there,

Let's say you have 1.000 uniques on a gallery of yours. What % on average will clickthru to the paysite?

And, if you have fair quality traffic, how is the average conversion these days?

My estimates:
0,5% of gallery visitors clicks thru to paysite (1:200)
0,33% of paysite visitors buys membership (1:330)

In other words, to get 1 sign-up, your gallery has to get about 66k of traffic.

What do you think/know?

0.5 ctr to paysite is very low
you need at least %1,some webmasters can achive 4-5%

1:330 on sponsor from tgp traffic forget it. Start thinking 1:800+ and you'll see. There are cases that some new sponsor can do phenomenically good, but it won't last for long

All depends on where the clicks are counted :) I gave one of my customers free traffic last month so I could prove to him that paid hosting versus free hosts had a better click thru, and got listed more often and thusly more clicks. Granted it's not an apples to apples comparison since he did the freehost run in June and on our boxes in July so there could be a diff based on the month. It would be nice to run a set side by side, anyone want to give that a try ??

Any way, the ctr numbers on our side look like this.

So 4% on average, he was using tgsw to submit and then ran the top10 by hand, he did get one hun listing in there on the 29th which threw the numbers off a bit, if you take that day out of the figures then you get a 5% ctr.

from wusage:
"The web site received 760,898 visits. A typical visitor examined 21.60 distinct files before leaving the site. A typical visit lasted for 1.89 minutes."

almost 2 minutes a person, proof that people are just jacking off to your pic's :) You try to spend 2 minutes on a web page with 15 to 20 pics, it don't take that long :1orglaugh

"There were 6,470 requests for documents which did not exist on the web server."

So it is very important to have your own 404 page to grab those people typing in more pages to see what they can find !!!!

"The web server was linked to by one or more pages found on 3,149 distinct web sites. "

sorry for the long post

$24.95 recurring I believe. And it was only 20 hours of work cause he spends around an hour a day, and only does it m-f :)

I do 1:400 with TGP traffic. Used to be quite a bit lower, in the 1:250-300's, but my ads got stale.

My problem was always getting the fuckers to click through. In my experience once they are there they are not much harder to sell than any other type of traffic.

42 signups * 12 dollar he gets(I think 50/50 or so)= 504 dollar.

He was busy for 30 hours. SO you can post one gallery per day in about 30 minutes/one hour.

Then it's not that good. :)
