Acacia - what happened there?

Are they still around? Or did that turn out to be a big fucking fuzz about nothing?

How about all the companies that actually gave them money when the hysteria was at an all-time high? That must have been $$$ well spent..

First off, yes it is still ongoing. We have knocked down most of their claims but we are still working on some.

Second, we hardly received a dime (actually less than 1k - and mostly from small programs) from anyone outside the group of defendants with one notable exception - an incredible company that does not want to any credit for their help, but I can give you a hint - they have a huge hairy bush amateur site. They have been chipping in like the defendants even though they are not getting sued and are truly heroes to this industry. In fact, I would say they are ATK in my book, All Time Kings for helping like they have. :winkwink: :winkwink:

Acacia has already pressed other patents onto the people that did make the "business decision" to sign with them so our predictions were very correct - also they have been raising rates on those that signed which is something else we foretold.

We are not spending as much now on the fight since we are essentially waiting for the mainstream companies to catch up with us since we are now all in the case together.

Right now it is not looking good for Acacia but we are sure that they will appeal regardless.

Hope that helps.

I bought a shitload of their stock when companies were pussying out and settling with them.

Ditched it for about twice what I paid.

No idea what happened since then, but i'm happy :1orglaugh

If I remember right I think I kicked in a $100 back when you guys started asking for donations. I'd really be surprised if you guys got less than $1k in donations. I mean hell, at that time I wasn't even full time in this biz and I'm no where near being big bling lake so many of the guys here claim to be. I mean if you guys only got like $1k then that means I made 10% of your donations which is pretty sad.

I guess that just shows how this industry works, no one give a shit about anyone else or their future, it's all here too day gone tomorrow attitude. As a side note, I kinda figured they had moved on to one of their other patents an gave up on the video one because I never saw any updates.

We were one of the first to get the request for money from them. This was before I was with epic. I told the guy on the phone to go fuck himself.

I donated to fight this as well.
