Star Wars question

I what order should you watch them? I see HBO on demand has 5 listed, but it looks like #4 is really number 1.

If I was to get it, what order should I try?

BAKO 03-05-2007 02:18 AM

that shit is for dorks :)

aico 03-05-2007 02:19 AM

#4 is the first one made, but if you want to watch in order of the storyline, start with #1.

crockett 03-05-2007 02:19 AM

4,5,6 were the originals and 1,2,3 is the prequels. Originally there was going to be a 7,8,9 but they decided not to.

JFK 03-05-2007 02:20 AM

dont do it,save your self from the Dork side:helpme

So I don't need to see the first one first? . . .will #4 be as good watching it as #4 instead of as #1 like everyone else did?

Please, for the love of Archiot baddog, watch #4/#5/#6 and ONLY 4/5/6. Forget that 1-3 ever happened. Since you have not really watched 1-3, you can experience Star Wars as a whole, as it was meant to be. You?ll get the complete experience without ever watching those wretched new movies.

Violetta 03-05-2007 03:32 AM

I'd watch 4-5-6-1-2-3 if I were you. That's the way they are ment to see, even if the storyline is from 1-6

plus the 1-2-3 are just getting better and better detail and graphics wise! :)

D 03-05-2007 03:32 AM

4, 5 and 6 (the ones first produced in the 70's and 80's) are really the only ones that you'll need to watch...

But if you really must watch all 6, it's probably best to watch them in chronological order in reference to the plot: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and then 6...

And then pick up the Timothy Zahn trilogy of books for the best answer to "what happens after that?"

3's the only decent flick of the first (most recently produced) 3... and, it really ain't that great.

SomeCreep 03-05-2007 03:38 AM

Well, to follow the whole saga in order, you'd start with episode I. However, episode I, II, and III are so bad (acting, dated humor, overused CGI, etc) that I'd skip them altogether and just watch episodes IV, V, and VI.

Hey now...Don't be hat'in!!:winkwink:

Baddog,

I agree with notabook, forget about 1-3 but I highly recommend you start with #4. Better yet, pick up the book, it's way better. OMG, did I just say pick up the book???

Yup, I am a true dork :Oh crap

Books are for faggots, not dorks. Books have done nothing good for humanity... all books want to do is rape you up the ass with a rusty metal rod. They all want you to suffer, those paper bastards deserve nothing less than the ultimate purging that only fire can deliver.

You know man, it's posts like this that tip me off that you aren't paying enough attention to my posts.

Because I posted about this in your last star wars thread.

Episode 4 is the one that came out in '76 or thereabouts. Then came 5 (The Empire Strikes BAck), then 6 (Return of the Jedi)

Start at 4 and go from there. They are the best of the six in my opinion.

You didnt watch starwars yet?Where did you live all this years,in cave?

Michaelious 03-05-2007 06:56 AM

Watch 1, 2, 3 first then you'll really appreciate 4, 5, 6:thumbsup

alexanderv 03-05-2007 07:30 AM

I'd advise you to watch 4, 5, 6 and then 1, 2, 3.
This is the only right order to watch it IMHO

shoeaholicanon 03-05-2007 07:32 AM

i think watching them in order would make the most sense.

ADL Colin 03-05-2007 08:09 AM

In the order they came out in (4,5,6,1,2,3). There is much in 1,2,3 which is only interesting if you have already seen 4,5,6. That being said, watching 4,5,6 again after 1,2,3 is interesting because then you notice some foreshadowing.

From a Star Wars geek,

was it the one where you find out Darth Vadar is Luke's father? Or the one where you find out Princess Lea, and Luke Skywalker are siblings?

Some things even people that neve saw the movie know. You would have to have lived under a rock to not know those.

The one I saw was when this kid (Luke) was taken out of slavery and made a jedi? I think that is where they were going.

Mr Pheer 03-06-2007 01:16 AM

4 and 5 are the only ones worth watching

If you want some truly good sci-fi, go get season 1 & 2 of the new Battlestar Galactica series.

Lay off the sauce. He was ALREADY a jedi. He just didn't know it. His Medi-Klavorkians were off the chart. Weren't you paying attention?

All I know is you're in for a lot of really boring "political" shit (Counselor this, and Senator that, and Chancellor who gives a shit), then some fighting, then more boring political shit, then a love story I think, then more fighting. Then a major fucking fight. But in the end they all live happily ever after.

Oh, that's right. Kind of like when Bobby Hill was found to be the next Dali Lama, right?

RedShoe 03-06-2007 01:28 AM

stupid GFY!

Chio 03-06-2007 01:57 AM

I would only watch the Empire Strikes Back (#5). 1,2, and 3 ruined the whole saga for me, although the Jedi hunt in 3 was well done.
