ive been out of the loop, im in west phoenix, looking to spend about $500 on a black suit, something smooth, any recommendations?

yea, for some reason, that seems like a "beginner" suit place, sort of generic, "suits for dummys" kind of thing, and i want to explore other options first, thanks for the recommendation, though

your asking for a $500 suit ... that's a beginner suit. I only spend between $500-$800 per suit but I also don't need to where them often. I have maybe 3 suits and i think 2 of them i got at Mens Warehouse . they do a good job fitting them and make it really easy.

ask franck, seems like he knows all about cheap suits.

Oh you'll look So handsome! But Black? No no precious .. only funeral directors should wear an all black suit. A nice grey or mossy green tone in a wool blend gabardine.

You should leave a few days for the tayloring, which should be free at The Men's Warehouse, and fitting should be done w/ your dress shoes on.
