Ever want to just run away?

Instead of solving problems and working through things, do you ever just want to give up and walk away from it all and start over somewhere new?

LittleSassy 03-04-2007 06:23 PM

i feel that everytime i am in a difficult situation :( but then i know that it wont change anything

3xTom 03-04-2007 06:26 PM

i feel more apt to run away when things are boring or when i get lazy.... when things are hard is when i actually do better........

Sly 03-04-2007 06:26 PM

No. Those little problems that need solving are what make life interesting.

Nodtveidt 03-04-2007 06:32 PM

Of course, and have done it a couple of times. However, haven't done it at all in the last decade...I guess I grew up or something...

Not so sure about running away, like running away from problems, but I do feel sometimes I want to say fuck it & start a new life somewhere far far from home.

I was actually talking to my wife about a relocation to a foreign country.

I need something new & exciting. I need a fucking adventure..

When you get married without dating very long, the first year can be tough as you are still adjusting to each other. Keep the communication lines open and hopefully you both are committed to working things out.

Sure, I have done it a couple times. Sometimes you just cut your losses and learn from the experience.

Diligent 03-04-2007 06:53 PM

Sure.. but that's what vacations are really for - or at least some kind of break from all that "too much"

Ah, wasn't really referring to the marriage in specific but thanks for the advice.
I get jumpy when in one place too long. I have never lived anywhere for longer than a year since I left the nest, so I am due for a massive change and I am getting antsy.

Buying a house will root me and I'm getting nervous.

im too young to have these feelings

real swingers 03-05-2007 03:46 AM

Sure.Every time when I do something bad I want to run away, like the time when I went to a swinger club and I cause a scene between some guys.

I spent most of my life running away, but not from problems, rather from the lack of them. I never worked for money or status, I just enjoyed taking on challenges. And when the challenges were gone, so was I.

The most frustrating aspect of failing health has been that as a result of it, I have spent longer doing donkey work in an industry which presents very few real challenges, than on anything I did previously.

Rochard 03-05-2007 07:45 AM

I did that once - when I was sixteen. I just packed all of my stuff into my car and headed north with no real destination in mind. I ended up in Massachusetts for a year, and then in Montreal for another year after that.

I more or less re-invented myself. Great times.

Jman 03-05-2007 08:39 AM

It happen to me once. I was on Nanaimo Island and was working with a group of people and one of their employee wanted to put a restraining order on me cause he was afraid for some reason.

It really fucked up my life.... Oh wait, that was you :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

The Duck 03-05-2007 08:41 AM

C_U_Next_Tuesday 03-05-2007 08:46 AM

no running away..but I take nice breaks to get away from it all.

Adultnet 03-05-2007 08:58 AM

its not good to run away from problems you must deal with everything..

shekinah 03-05-2007 09:02 AM

Sometimes I do, but after thinking twice I come to realize that it's better to face it before it booms..

pornguy 03-05-2007 09:14 AM

Yeah. I have had that feeling a few times.

Sarah_Jayne 03-05-2007 09:16 AM

I ended up in London...though that was more running towards something than away from it. Then you reach an age when you really can't run far enough to escape reality so do your running when you are young and then find a way to survive.

Tanya_AWP 03-05-2007 09:19 AM

Yeah, i get that feeling most of the time, live a different life on a clean slate that would be an adventure...:winkwink:
