<<< Beware Clips.com Scammers >>>

People beware do not use clips.com they are scammers, they screwed me out of a small bit of money ($183.00) then I canceled my account with them because I didn't wanna be bent over any more.

I signed my contract uploaded my clips, set my min payout for 1k, now the first month I was with them nothing was happening until I complained to them as to why I was not making any money, then oddly enough I started getting small sales to my account (between 1-$2.00 sales) it racked up and over 2 months I had over $183.00 in the account. Their system starting messing up so I complained again asking why their upload system was messing up, the customer service was rotten to say the least so I removed all of my files from their system. They then shut off my account so no one could see my uploads and told me they were not paying me.

Do not use moviedollars or clips.com this system is setup to take people's money. I told them to pay me else people would hear about it on here, they refused. They could have paid me and avoided the negitive press. Not a good move on the part of clips.com and this will not be my only post, people on the other boards will hear about this as well.

Clips.com you owe me $183.00 and you know who you owe it too so PAY UP!

floridadave 03-04-2007 04:02 PM

Thanks for the info I'm new on here and was thinking of using them, I guess I will go elsewhere. Who wants to waste a bunch of time uploading when all they will do is scam you at the end of the tunnel.

dvd420 03-05-2007 06:23 AM

Your best bet would be to use Clips4sale.com they are the only ones that have stood out to be the very best in both customer service and actually paying people. Also they pay you 60% on your downloads instead of what the others pay. Its hands down a great system.

good to know man, thanks

ichauch 03-05-2007 06:36 AM

Thank you for the warning.

RevSand 03-05-2007 06:55 AM

If you need some help setting up a clips4sale store let me know.. I have a few on there now and know the system pretty damn well and can maybe give you some tips to max your money...

James_Hotmovies 03-05-2007 08:30 AM

I could post the entire conversation with dvd420, but you know I'm not a big shit talker.

dvd420 uploaded content that was questionable. We asked for him to prove that he had the rights to use it. He refused and said if we didn't pay him he would start a bunch of shit on gfy and other boards.

I don't take well to threats.

Clips.com is a great new product and we're growing. If you have content, that you have rights to, we'll be happy to help you monitize it.

James_Hotmovies 03-05-2007 08:32 AM

Also, clips4sale - you would be wise to look into his content.

We recognized a bunch of it from other studios we work with.

floridadave 03-06-2007 08:22 PM

It appears that it would have been in your best interest to just pay out the money from the account to avoid the negitive comments that could lead to your site's demise. I was going through the site and a couple other webmaster boards and it seems as if your site has some unhappy clients already. Don't count on my business. If anyone knows some good companies to do business with in terms of VOD please post it for me.

Barefootsies 03-06-2007 08:28 PM

Clips4Sale is good. Been with them for years.

Neil's been great, they've never missed a payment with all of our stores. I can get quick resolutions. Traffic's nice. There's been a quirk here and there like you get with just about any company, but nothing major, and quick resolutions.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

-One person with 18 posts and another with 2 posts bashing clips.com.
-James refuses to be extorted and reveals the complainer is trying to charge for content that he can't prove he owns.

Result: no impact on my positive feelings towards clips.com

HighSociety 03-06-2007 08:54 PM

I use clips.com and think it is a great site. The site is pretty new and they listen to your feedback and really do make changes for you. It is about extra money and It works.

floridadave 03-07-2007 06:34 AM

Doesn't matter if I am new or not or how many posts I have, I come here to speak my mind and looking at the board, it seems that others do as well.

Sorry but I'm not going to signup to a site that waits till you make a few bucks only to swipe it out from under you. I started a store at clips4sale.com just the other day and I'm already making $$$. Recomendations or word of mouth goes alot farther then anything else. Personal expierence is what I rely on in the end and in the past I have also been burned by affiliate programs that wait till you get so much money then they come up with some "you were spamming" excuse to take your money. Also I have tried contacting people at clips.com and they never answer their ICQ, so they just proved to me how they are with their site.

There are a couple of other real good webmaster boards (I won't mention them on here) but if you do a search for clips.com you will find some very unhappy people. Thats all I gota say..

rowan 03-07-2007 07:27 AM

Funny how dvd420 and floridadave both use the word "negitive" ............

Lykos 03-07-2007 08:00 AM

Clips4sale.com owes me shity $300 for months now..funny...and owner keep promising he will pay,and he dont reply for weeks now...so that's how good they are,lol
dont know anything but good for clips.com tough!

danclips 03-07-2007 08:05 AM

There was a question concerning the ownership of the clips that you, under SMV Enterprises added to clips.com. When asked for model releases and 2257 information for the clips that you submitted to clips.com, you informed me that you did not have the information that we were requesting, so we had to take your store down. If you can get that information to me, we will be happy to add your store back to the site.

We can not pay you for content that you can not prove belongs to you. In fact, we are nearly certain that the content that you put on clips.com does not belong to you.

I've been an affiliate of MovieDollars since at least Jan 05 (that's as far back as their stats go), and I can only say great things about them. They pay me like clockwork on the traffic I send. Get $300-$500 checks from them each and every month. Hell, they even throw in free minutes cards which I use to check out girls before I shoot them.

I can't wait until I can get my content on both MovieDollars and Clips. They are a straight up great company.... but then again, they've only been paying me on time/all the time since before 2005, so what would I know?

danclips 03-07-2007 09:06 AM

Please feel free to contact me directly for more information about our great new program at clips.com. New providers are joining up every day.

clips4sale is excellent Unless clips.com pays the SAME 60% to producers instead of 40% I'm not using them

fris 03-07-2007 07:12 PM

hotmovies/clips are good people, and pretty much every sponsor that posts here is, their is reasons behind every suspended account.

dvd420 03-07-2007 07:52 PM

40 % is all they pay, and they make you sign a huge 30 page contract which is made to nothing but take your money. You have to snail mail it in which sucks and was a big waste of time, but everyone deserves a try, I guess I'm the one that had to take it in the ass for the team. No worries tho because I'll never even look at their program again.

I don't use them, but it's good to know that if/when i decide to, they are on the lookout.
Am i reading that wrong, or was that guy saying his minimum payout was 1k, and he only made $183?

dvd420 03-07-2007 09:03 PM

To answer your question yes my min was set to 1k, this what these people look for, they know you will wait for your money so they wait till you rack up some money then cancel you for some reason. In this case yes I have model releases for some of my content and a website license for the rest. They didn't want to accept what I was prepared to send them. Plus they wanted info on all my models which I am not going to sit here and fax shit all night long all over $183 bucks, their site gets no traffic and as I said I didn't start making money untill going into the 2nd month after asking them why I wasn't making money, they they started making changes to their upload admin which was a piece of shit so I deleted off my content to start over. Their admin was not reading my files in their directory, so they got mad asking me why I was deleting my content. I guess they figure I was on my way out, (so lets take his monies) and kick'em anyway. They guessed wrong, I was going to re-upload everything and continue with the site even tho I was making a measly $1.50 - $2.00 per sale... As I said I think they sent me over some fake sales to try and keep me. Bottom line just just another system.

HighSociety 03-07-2007 09:39 PM

Well I added all my old files when the site started and deleted it all and started to add my new videos encoded several different ways for all users. I think I had 1400 is sales last month without trying, just sucks to see them get trashed like this. Someone else said it is nice to see them making sure the content is listed by the owner. I would be pretty pissed if it happend.

floridadave 03-08-2007 10:23 AM

I think requesting model releases is fair yes, but not just out of the blue, I'm here in Florida and I shoot many girls, I think over the past 8 years I shot over 1000 girls, if I upload a 1000 videos, there is no way in hell I'm faxing over all my releases to some dude that just out of the blue wants to see them and possibly steal them for his own use on his own site, and I agree with DVD, for almost 200 dollars it wouldn't be worth the time. Bottom line if you don't trust your client or your store owner then don't wait till he racks up money to then just kill his store and reap his rewards. Also to my understanding unless athorities are requesting model 2257 info or the owner of eligal content is reqesting it, it shouldn't even become an issue.

Just my 2cents, I'm done with this topic it's silly - I'll stick with clips4sale.com

I was JUST about to upload some clips to Clips.com this week. I think I will reconsider. Clips4sale has always been great for me!

shoeaholicanon 03-08-2007 11:55 AM

thanks for the tip buddy :)

danclips 03-08-2007 01:25 PM

It's truly a shame that you feel the need to resort to this. Anyone that has done business with hotmovies, moviedollars, or clips.com knows that we can let our reputation speak for itself.

Why someone would go to such an extreme as creating multiple sceen names and then having a conversation with himself on an internet message board is beyond me.

The only accurate thing that you have written in your posts is that we requested model release information for your clips. Which you said that you did not have.

Don't worry about it, some people just don't have the reading comprehension skills to properly follow a thread. You probably wouldn't want to deal with those people anyways.

It's just so painfully obvious. I wonder why people don't realize that everyone can see right through them - well...... everyone, but their imaginary friends that is! ;)
