I do not believe in google PR... and correct me if wrong but I know what I had.... I had 3 sites I used just to post gals, not much traffic went to main page at all... again, it all went to gals, google gave the main pages a pr3, then pr4 (1 went to pr5 for a month) due to all thousands of incoming links to gals and pages in subdirectories. Alexa also gave those a good rating... but again, nothin but gallery dumps with tons of traffic to gals... but the main page was worthless and sending minimal traffic and not helping any of my sites linked to it... guess sayin... watch out, you never know :)
