Fling.com - STOP STEALING MY CONTENT

This is the second time I've found some of my copyrighted content being used for promotion for Fling.com. When is it going to stop? Do I really need to send a DMCA notice to you to stop this?

http://media.fling.com/r/100x100/w/lillovebunny-19.jpg - please remove that image and stop using my fucking content.

Are you sure someone didn't just create a profile using your pictures and that's how it got there?

Kind of like saying myspace is stealing your photos.

Sosa 03-04-2007 11:52 AM

whoops! hopefully they will remove it

Does that make it less of a theft?

PunkRockXXX 03-04-2007 11:55 AM

Thats what they told me last time, but I had to jump through fucking hoops to get it taken down. Its one thing to have to police MySpace for pictures, but another adult company? Not only that, last time I asked them to remove it it took me all day to even get ahold of someone, and then it took another day at least before it was swapped out.

I would be more than happy to talk to any dating sponsors about licensing content to use for promotion, but when I go to Fling.com and see my copyrighted pictures being used every couple weeks it really starts to piss me off.

And the only reason I had to start this thread is because HugeTraffic has no one to contact directly about this. Would be nice if I could send the link to someone and have my stolen content swapped out for something legal right away, but such is not the case.

Yeah man but that's like saying you had a hard time getting ahold of yahoo because someone used your picture in their yahoo 360 profile or something.

It's to be expected, and to come here and bitch about it and expect any of us to think less of nasty dollars because they don't put your calls straight through to the president is a bit overboard IMO.

AdPatron 03-04-2007 12:02 PM

I just farted.

Overboard or not, it's still theft.

I don't expect anyone to think any less of NastyDollars. I promote Fling.com, and my links are still up. And the "putting my calls straight through to the president" is just a stupid thing to say. Did you not read what I wrote, even though you quoted it?

Here, I'll say it again "last time I asked them to remove it it took me all day to even get ahold of someone, and then it took another day at least before it was swapped out."

I shouldn't have to spend two or three days trying to follow up with a fellow sponsor to make sure my stolen pictures are removed. Espescially a sponsor with the resources to get it removed immediately. :2 cents:

Yes theft by the person who signed up for fling and used that picture.

He's already admitted that they do indeed remove the photos for him, they just don't do it as quickly as he'd like.
So starting a thread on GFY calling them theives is going overboard.

Shoehorn! 03-04-2007 12:09 PM

Also, the first time is one thing, but I never got a "be sure to let us know if it happens again, heres the person to contact next time ___________."

I shouldn't have to start going to Fling every day to make sure my content isn't being stolen and used illegally to promote a dating site. :2 cents:

Is the image being hosted by Fling? Yes. That means they are responsible for it. That means they are the ones violating my copyrights.

fris 03-04-2007 12:12 PM

wonder how many profiles are acutally real.

RawAlex 03-04-2007 12:13 PM

Shoehorn, you will only get satisfaction if you document this on paper, and serve the right people. DMCA notify fling, their hosts, etc. Each time you see it, do the same thing. After you have done it a few times, increase the tone of your letters, indicating that you intend to take legal action against fling, the hosts, et al for continued violations of your copyright. Make sure the hosts are clear that they are not exempt from action.

Then sue them.

Until then, they (and many other similar companies) will continue on their merry way.

This is what I usually do, but I figured since it was a fellow adult company all that wouldn't be necessary. In retrospect it would have taken me less time to send the DMCA than go back and forth with certain people in this thread who don't fully understand copyright violation. :Oh crap
