Why ratios are not that important. LOL
OK I know I was boasting about them a year back but just had a look at them and nearly fainted.
They were shite, crap, the worse. I called Eva in and told her we need to look at this and fix it fast we are losing money. But she told me not to despair the money is up. :upsidedow So I looked closer. Got a ton of traffic and I do mean a ton of traffic from a source we never had a few months ago and it throws out the entire thing. Takes 10 minutes to get it and the flow is steady as a rock. So when you're checking ratios, think. How long did it take to put up, how much does it cost and what do I earn from it? Just looking at hits and sign ups is foolish. So am I going to tell you what it is? No because you will be all over it and I will not be earning as much. LOL And the magic join links are working fine thank you. :thumbsup |
This thread seems pointless.

Ratios are totally useless. It is all relative to the traffic you are getting.
I could throw 100k hits at someones pay site a day and not a single one convert because it's shit traffic. That of course would fuck up their ratios. Then I could come back to the boards and say SPONSOR X sucks ass and is not converting. |
Ratios are just another way to measure things.

what is the point of this? If you look at the total with all the traffic you get I see your point, but someone sending 2000 hits from a blog and changing to another site it would matter.
