Expected ratios for a new paysite

I'm trying to get a general idea of what kind of ratios one might expect for a new paysite with a good amount of content and a clever design

I suppose I'll get about half a million traffic holder visits and some other sources as well.

I know it's impossible to nail a number like this down, but I;d appreciate it if anyone with experience could post what kind of ratios they've achieved with startup sites.

Thanks in advance

YOu're asking for the impossible.

What type of site? What type of traffic? Who's the Processor? Free trials?

All these things have an impact on your sales. Expect different ratios for different types of traffic, Search engine traffic will bring better ratios, while FHG traffic will bring higher ratios.

The standard throw it up ratio used to be 1:500 but I would say that's a bit low. Probably more like 1:1000.

Let's say it's some decent quality traffic from traffic holder... so if I buy 200,000 visits.... and my content is non exclusive, but there's a lot of it and it's organized really uniquely and well... and I'm offering free trials..

Is 1:1000 really a reasonable number? I guess I'm just asking webmaster what kind of ratios they've experienced with this type of situation

Buying traffic is always a risk. But 200,000 should give you a good idea.....

Before buying traffic from traffic holder do a search on GFY they send some very dodgey traffic if you are thinking of buying traffic you would be better of going to a decent traffic brooker you can trust

Anybody have any suggestions, I've never really trusted any of the traffic services I've used
