Lighting Question for the Photographers
 

Have you guys used lights made by Amvona? And if so what has your experience been with them? I shoot escorts so I just want something functional to make my photos a little better, I use natural light and have always had pretty good results. I'd just like to hear if any one here has any hands on experience with Amvona products. Thanks.

I have never used Amvona, I am shooting with Hensel

I've never used their strobes but I do have a set of continues lights from them that I use for video and they work great. If you're looking for good strobes at a very reasonable price I would give the Alienbees shot. I have 2 of the B800's myself and have never had a problem with them.

Thanks for the reply. I just won a three light kit from Amvona off ebay. I looked long and hard at the Alienbees but I ended up with a nice deal on ebay. I really don't know much about lighting but this kit will give me a reason to get out there and shoot more.

The parent company of Alien Bees is White Lightning, which I use. They are reliable and great. Also I enjoy supporting a smaller company. Their customer service is very hands on.

Alienbees are great light though, not too expensive, don't think you will find them on eBay, not many people who buy them want to sell them.

i heard amvona has some nice light boxes etc but i have not heard anything good about their strobes..

No I'm cash only no trades. I don't believe in trade of services. Some ladies I date them then they ask about photos, some ladies I meet at the monthly meet & greets they throw.

There are thousands of little cheap "Studio in a bag" sets out there for around this pricemark.. In the end, with lighting, you get what you pay for.

Go Elinchron (or broncolor if you have major $).
