New Computers & Laptops...Bad construction or just bad customer service?

In over 30 years of using computers this past year has been the worst. Bought hi-end Toshiba products as usual and it's every three months something is fucked up.

Not only that but it's taken them a YEAR to resolve some problems and even then they continue to fuck up.

Even one of their techs told me up front that they rush into production and then solve shit after the fact. Don't try to get a refund. Toshiba is anal about that shit.

I've heard horror stories about companies like DELL and HP but since I don't buy their stuff I don't know. Any company you recommend?

It's getting tougher to build your own computers too I've been told.

I doubt highly that I'll be buying any Toshiba products anymore. They're very attractive but they've gotten so big headed they forget that the two things that matter most are computers that work and treating the customer with good service.

I called their tech support and got some guy in the Punjab Province named 'Biff' who redirected me to some chick in Indonesia named 'Buffy' who then talked to some guy in Japanese who then directed me to some Russians.

WTF? Not one person I dealt with spoke English properly.

Russians?

I have an HP, and it has taken a beating. I had to replace the interal power connector 2 times, and the screen hinges once. Other than that, at 3 years old, it is still doing pretty good.

OH I'm not against russians so don't go there.

I would like to use Apple computers but it takes forever for MAC versions of software to come out and some don't come out at all.

I just got back from shopping for classic computers!

Heck, I'm shopping for laptops that came out in 2000.

There are several shops on the web for the classic stuff as well as software and games.

For a laptop, go with asus. I've been through toshibas, dells and apples and I hate them all.

For a computer, build it yourself with top of the line components or go with falcon northwest, you'll pay a prime but it's totaly worth it (awesome computers and great service) unlike Alienware.

In any case he's still misinformed.
Theres not one piece of software I know of that has that problem. Will every company build a Mac version of their sofware. No.
But its not neccessary I can run my business just fine on whats available. I don't see why anyone would cite that as a problem.
