Wow.

Activated with that Enterprise software. Calendar and contacts update without me even thinking. Battery life is amazing.

I forgot to mention that I did buy it.

Solid as a rock. I haven't tried the GPS stuff though.

But Blackberry is way more stable than the MS stuff....

The phone is a lot smarter. Any issue I have had was a mere setting adjustment to fix.

Haven't touched the maps. I hit the GPS tab but it led me to something that appears to be extra service....depending, I may do it....

The keyboard is solid as a rock. It feels really good. But only time will tell.

The little navigator takes time to get used to. You have to go into the settings and set it to "less sensitive" at first. Once you get used to it, you can open her up! : )

yeah I saw that the GPS services are extra - signup stuff, thats shit cause that wont work here. Germany already has the 8800 though, I wish it had wifi and a cam

Other then that its a great phone

Sprint sucks pay the cancel fee and get Cingular :2 cents:

LittleSassy 03-02-2007 04:22 PM

wow, that looks pretty neat!

CrystaliZed 03-02-2007 04:50 PM

I have the 8700... mostly because T-Mo hasn't gotten the 8800 yet, and if I'm gonna upgrade BB's again, I want one with a cam, full qwerty keyboard AND media player... have yet to find a BB with ALL 3.

CherryLipsRosa 03-02-2007 04:57 PM

That is really sweet

ungratefulninja 03-02-2007 05:04 PM

Cingular uses Telenav for the GPS, so it's like $10 a month. It does dynamically update the maps, audible alerts, etc.

I just wish it had a camera. The Pearl does, so I'm not sure why they left it off the 8800.

LiveDose 03-02-2007 07:00 PM

Wow, that is sweet. I am still using an old school one but I love it!

Old school one is better than most every phone on the Market.

Dave, the iPhone looks cool. But...I love this Enterprise setup. I am not sure I would trade it for regular bluetooth syncing...something I suspect will be a part of the iPhone.

Myst, not sure, haven't got a bill. I got the 1300 minutes, Internet media package and a texting package. I am not sure.

I need to switch it over to our corp one though...

J. Falcon 03-02-2007 08:15 PM

looks hot

I have the 8700 and i love it .. I've had it about a year and i do wish it was a bit smaller. Is the 8800 smaller? it looks like it is thinner ... if so i may upgrade and give my wife my 8700. i have about the same set up ..1300 mins / internet and texting and i think my bill is about $130 a month .. my wife pays it but recall her asking me why it was such a high plan .. GPS thing sounds cool. Only one of my Cars has Navigation and my wife drives that one. I'd like to have one right in the phone foe the few times i need it in my car.

keep us updated on how you like it and make sure i get to check it out in PHX ..:thumbsup

BlueDesignStudios 03-02-2007 08:59 PM

looks pretty nice imo

ungratefulninja 03-02-2007 10:38 PM

If you're connecting an enterprise server the internet plan is $45 per month. If you're just connecting to pop3 accounts its $29.99 per month. You can add 1,000 text messages for $10 or 3,000 text for $20. For 1,350 minutes it's $79.99 per month.

NaughtyRob 03-03-2007 12:28 AM

HMmmm I dont know about that trackball, I like my scroller on the side.

DutchTeenCash 03-03-2007 05:08 AM

Another $30 for the Media Max package.

I am one of 5 people on a 5 lic Enterprise package that cost $500. That is the minimum user package you can buy. We have one at Weg.
