we used to do something like that many years ago, but it was across much smaller areas or just across the river.

I've done that over small patches of water.. but it's fucking scary. It only takes a second to have your sled at the bottom of the lake :(

here is my experience last year. I spent 6 hours in the water trying to get it out before my friendly neighborhood CO came by and gave me a ticket. What made it worse was that it was my father-in-laws sled.

Below is an RXL 650 efi. Needless to say the sled was totalled by insurance.
