That character is scarier and funnier than the real Mark Read... who, back in the day I happened to meet and share some beers in a group with.

I was young and stayed mainly quiet, but he yapped on and one and on and as soon as he went for a piss everyone at the table (and there were some HARD fuckers amongst them) all chimed in with "what a wanker and dickhead he was", but "he's a fucking lunatic so don't let him hear you say anything".

Amusing to read his books and see his movie after having that experience so many years previously.
