CCBILL the worst stats system in the world!!!

when ever I wanna check referrers or wanna check how many active members in the recurring pool for a given day or any task that is besides getting the sales for any given day or two..

I get an: AUTHENTICATION ERROR, or a GENERAL ERROR...
Error: A server error occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience.

FUCK THAT SHIT... The system has been like that for the past three years... CCBILL Get your shit together (stats wise)
If I was to make a system like that, I would be out of business in a hurry
:2 cents:

AAAhh that felt good... Haters FUCK YOU!

DutchTeenCash 02-27-2007 04:11 AM

prolly a timeout - shoot them an email

I totally agree.

Violetta 02-27-2007 06:05 AM

I have that problem ca 2% of the time! Perhaps it's your isp? Or something else...

rotterdammer 02-27-2007 06:10 AM

Yeah they suck sometimes :(

Jace 02-27-2007 06:10 AM

I just signed up for one of those new mpa powered affiliate systems through epoch...and WOWOWOWOWOWOW

KICKASS SHIT!

it is rockin!

I was about to get all set up with ccbill too, but now that I have seen this, I will be using mpa built into epoch with a ccbill cascade

Porko 02-27-2007 06:20 AM

the worst ever. ccbill stats sucks

gazool 02-27-2007 06:25 AM

It's got nothing to do with my ISP...
I need it to work 99.9% - 100% of the time, which is not too much to expect from a huge money making machine like CCBILL... Yet instead, you have what I only can think of as a bunch of first graders sitting around playing Warcraft all day, and some times taking care of errors if they are absolutely critical...

Couldn't agree more. Their interface is a total disaster.

There's little point, cos everyone experiences it and has been since the stats interface changed a couple of years ago. In my case, if I try to search for transactions over more than about 60 days then it bombs out with the error. I have about 100 affiliate accounts, so more would probably make it worse.

I would like to see ccbill step up and say they're actually going to do something about it.

rowan 02-27-2007 07:32 AM

Just did a search from 2007-01-01 to 2007-02-26 (approximately 55 days) and it took 2 minutes and 50 seconds to return the stats.

DutchTeenCash 02-27-2007 07:36 AM

rowan: searches that long ago timeout yes, its a well known issue

lemme see how many secs my search does

how many accounts do you have in there?

Yep, so after this many years (and complaints) why is it still occurring? That's my point. :)

I have approximately 100 merged accounts.

DutchTeenCash 02-27-2007 07:39 AM

1 min 50

9 pages account so approx 225

never was faster though - but it depends what time of day etc

well im sure you know its a matter of capacity

not defending ccbill but they max search queries I guess, otherwise the dbase server would crash in no time

but yes it would be nice if theyd fix this

wyldblyss 02-27-2007 07:43 AM

Their backend is lacking, but since many people that use them don't have really any other choice....you get what you get :(

rowan 02-27-2007 07:46 AM

Caching queries for each account and/or day would help a lot, that way when it bombs out and you retry the cached results fly in, and after enough retries you'll get complete stats within a few seconds.

rowan 02-27-2007 07:46 AM

Putting it simply...

Not being able to see 2 months worth of stats is ridiculous IMHO. I don't have this problem with any other sponsor or stats system.

ArkansasDave 02-27-2007 08:29 AM

CCBill? What would they ever know about e-commerce??
Good luck wherever else you may go.
Scrubba-da-dub, makes a clean troll in in the tub.

Seriously, just zip them an email, im sure they would be more than interested to listen your comments and concerns
on this matter.
There good people.

Hey guys, just saw this. We have been developing a new stats package for some time now, when its released you guys will love it...its got some really neat, innovative features

as for the current system, it is faster at some times than others, but as for when you get one of those errors, i suggest you submit a bug so that we can check it out and see if anything can be done to fix it/speed it up

gazool 02-28-2007 03:28 AM

I suggest you test it your selves.
The ERRORS are random and what sometimes work will at other times cause an ERROR...

BUT if you go into an affiliate account with lots of sponsors and stats and pull some stats, you will 100% sure get those errors... GOOD LUCK

Nookster 02-28-2007 03:40 AM

Happens to me only when I'm trying to view stats selected from a week+. You do have a point though, they need to revamp their decade old system.

Sarah_Jayne 02-28-2007 04:30 AM

I look forward to the new system.

TheMilkman 02-28-2007 07:05 AM

I got the same error message sometimes too, but in the next hour it works well again.

bizarredollars 02-28-2007 07:43 AM

I'm really looking forward to CCBill getting the new system in place.. CCBill have always been my first choice for processing, but I have felt that their affiliate system could be greatly improved.

Any idea when this might roll out .. at least in beta?

Is there going to be any competing product to the Epoch tie in to the MPA tracking program?

With the spiriting away of Patrick and now Rainey from Pridebucks, Epoch seems to be gathering a bit of steam bringing on serious industry experience in their talent pool to go after even more of your business.

We'd be interested to hear what CCBill is going to do about it. ;)

Sure, to elaborate a bit, its an entirely new client admin and affiliate system, built from scratch, and we have designed the system/network to be load-balanced, and unload reports very quickly?we have been taking feedback and ideas for quite some time now, and im sure that everyone will be very pleased with the result.

We are looking at a summertime release

corvette 02-28-2007 12:41 PM

let me also mention that we will have globally-load balanced signup forms (to ensure that signup forms load instantly, no matter what region the consumer is located in)

rowan 02-28-2007 05:51 PM

I remember mention of being able to use a single master affiliate account number instead of juggling individual accounts (and having to change all our links when one program is acquired by another)... is this still happening?

Yeah, thats what my dentist keeps telling me, usually just before he turns my gums to a bloody pulp. I find myself avoiding sponsors with CCBill now because of the errors in stats reporting.
