Razor that NEVER goes dull

Ok, I'm guilty of being intrigued by a late-night infomercial.

Apparently they've made a carbon-steel & tungsten carbide alloy to make razorblades, and they guarantee that it will stay sharp and last a lifetime. If it goes dull, they give you another one.

So, for $20 + S&H, you get:

- Two of these razors
- Lifetime replacement guarantee.
- Some free knives with it
- Another gizmo

I'm curious about it but I doubt I'd ever buy one.

Any of you guys have thoughts on it?

I've never bought anything I've seen on TV.. Is 99% of the stuff on there really a scam or is that just a common misconception?

No idea... never buy anything from there cause it always seems to be too good to be true.

Yeah, most of the crap you see advertised on TV is just a fucking scam. I'm curious as to if there's any truth behind this "never dull" razor, though.

I go through razors like crazy. And the price of those Gillette Fusion ones i use are shocking !

hehe... watch out for those kinds of companies 'lifetime' warranties. This one company a while back was selling cheap (and I mean *CHEAP*) fluorescent light bulbs and offered a lifetime warranty on them. I think the bulbs were around $2.50 a piece and the next cheapest bulb at the time was like $8-11 each. Anyways, the bulbs sucked ass and died fast. In order to get a replacement bulb you had to send in your old bulb, with original UPC from packaging, and pay them $7 for "handling" fee to ship them you a new one. And no, it wasn’t a $7 fee per order, it was a $7 fee per bulb (that way you couldn’t ship them a shitload of broke ones for replacement that would fiscally make sense).

Here are a few reviews:

Hmm I will bookmark this, it would be great if it was true.

LOL

It's a common marketing tactic. The percentage of people who actually send the razor in for replacement is very low. Most people either are too lazy, or forget about it completely.

do you believe that stuff?
I will never buy anything from TVshops too.

Nail, meet head.

From one of the review links posted up there:

So I was curious, or maybe dumb, enough to risk spending the money to try out the Infinity Razor. I figured with what I spend on razors even if it only works for a few months it was worth it. So... the review. I could not even shave my entire face once with it. It is definitely not "the greatest razor I've ever used". Far from it. Not even in the top 5.
It cuts like a cheap disposable razor. i.e.; pulls the hairs more than it really cuts them. My mach III razor that is a month old cuts better than this thing. Hopefully I will get my 3 razor blades and a refund like they promised when I return this thing and still basically break even after spending $7.50 on shipping ($5 in and $2.50 to return it.)
