Google - the big bang ?!
Looking for index pages as usual ( site: ) I was pretty surprised to find only the homepage indexed for several domains that had 1-20k+ pages indexed.
Only like 10% of my domains show this strange effect, could be some really old index, but it smells like something big is coming up. PR or age don't seem to play a role in this, some old PR5 domains as well as new ones without PR are affected. Yes, a bit early to judge, but I'd be interested to hear if other see similar results. |
Some sites are back to normal, a few still show the effect...seems to be a temporary glitch, but I'd appreciate any reports, can't be just me.

Something's been up for a few months now, seems they are trying a few tweaks to root out Googlebombs and more importantly, clearly are trying to separate trusted vs. non-trusted sites.
If you are in the latter category, it's a fair bet you'll start to see more and more of your pages end up in the supplementals. It's all about the links... |
It's less about the links now than it has been for years... :)

Google dance..... =)

Yeah, google's definitely preparing something big... Got few of my sites pushed so bad in "dead" zone since 16th of Feb. They still didn't recover, but I just hope they will soon... It'd be better to, anyways :)
site: command definitely doesn't work as it should be, so do not be concerned about it, because if you try it on some bigger sites, you'll also see the same. It might be just a glich, but it's not cool from google's side to have broken shit available at all.... link: now site: later it'll be probably info: or related: .... Bottom line is that big G's search really needs some improvements! |
