per signup .vs. 50/50 or 60/40

Now i want some feed back from you cats. If we all know that a lot a sponcers shave points and play with the signup ration payouts. why won't most of us do 50/50 program or 60/40 program when you know 1st you going to get paid cause it's 3rd party billing.

2nd. you can't shave signups

and last but least really u go chance to make more money cuase u get recurring.

i want all feedback on how u feel and what would really make your want to promote a 50/50 or 60/40 program

hyper 08-06-2002 10:25 AM

60/40? i only want 95/5 programs :)

The only point in promoting revshare programs is that you believe in the site you are selling. The site you are selling has to be able to retain members in order for you to make a profit. Take sites like Amateur Pages, KarupsPC, etc....they all work hard to keep members, which what makes them great to promote for revshare.

Almost forgot one....LargeCash. I swear there is one member I signed up that has recurred for about 9-10 months now heh. 10 x 15.95 = 159.50 from one signup. Hmm..I really should start pushing that again.

I feel as if grammar is lacking in today's society. :disgust

per sign up is better

Morgan 08-06-2002 10:31 AM

there is no comparison between flat rate and recurring. I am still getting HUGE checks weekly from a site I stopped promoting about 7 months ago.

Contrary to popular belief, there are numerous ways to shave signups under a recurring program.

exactly.. know the webmasters your dealing with and their commitment to satisfying the members.

If they are in it to make a quick buck.. dont even sign up.

Yup, but there are always ways to shave, but there is little incentive....with partnership, the program doesn't have to worry about cheating webmasters....

it's like if I opened a grocery store and knew for absolute sure there would be zero thefts, I could knock 15-20% off my prices....if I could open a restaurant and know that there would be no spoilage, breakage, meal comebacks, etc. I could knock 25-30% off my prices....

Paparazzi 08-06-2002 11:22 AM

Recurring is the best!

Of course. Just pointing out the facts for those that seem to think it is impossible for a partnership program to shave off signups or rebills. ;-)

I guess it depends on your position Partnership tends to bring more $$$$ longterm, and per sign up is better $$$$ short term.

Sponsors, I think tend to lean to per sign up, because it means more money for them in the longterm.:winkwink:

That's nothing, I've had one member stay with Fatpockets recurring program for 10 months, @ $26.77/month, $267.70 from one member and he still hasn't cancelled!
