Nerdgasm! Marvel Zombies aka "Best. Comic. Ever."
 

Ok, I'm no comic collector, but I just picked up this hardcover collection of "Marvel Zombies", which I had no idea existed until now. Basically the whole superhero universe after a zombie plague. Crazy shit.

Ok I'm going to out myself as a nerd here, but that is fucking sweet. Is Magneto the only one left that is not a zombie?

Almost. It begins after the mutants have already picked clean all of earths easy human population. There's an interesting twist in zombie lore, where they are basically back to their old selves for a while after feeding. Spidey is being emo about eating his family. Banner only transforms into Hulk when he is hungry. I'm surprised Marvel allowed all their franchises to be defiled in this way, because it's as sick as anything Romero ever dreamed up.

How would Wolverine turn into a zombie? His healing factor fights off almost any disease... his healing factor even got rid of the brood in his body.

When did that issue or series come out?
