Do you consider a Lesbian site a straight or gay site?
 

I have a huge bet ($5!) going about if a lesbian site would be considered straight or gay.

I've heard lesbians complain about lesbian sites being only catered to men. So straight.

If youre talking about a lesbian site designed as a paysite to play towards mens fantasies - then its straight
If you are talking about a true lesbian site then you are confusing an issue - men and women can be homosexual - men are called gay, women are called lesbian - the terms get interchanged a lot unfortunately by uninformed people (including the media)

It's both.

Lesbians themselves are "gay" --but the primary customers are "straight" men.

I suppose I should add - that really since the term gay didnt start really getting used for homosexual relationships till the 1960s as a "fad" type of thing - a lot of women who consider themselves lesbian or bisexual, have also adopted using the term gay - even the phychiatrists out there that profess knowledge in this area mix up the terms all the time - suppose its really up to ones personal tastes (ducking)

Before reading the thread I would have said gay, but it's really for straight men I think...we love lesbians :winkwink:

I'm my mind, I associate "gay" with the Gay & Lesbian Movement...so my opinion is, gay.

If the site caters to women then it's a gay site.

If it caters to men then it's straight.

If you can't tell the difference it's because you're straight and your site most likely is also.

when I was talking about traffic they said gay and lesbian sites so I said, ok you want gay traffic. and they said gay and straight and there is how this all started.

Lesbians are primarily marketed towards straight guys. Most of the "lesbians" are only "gay for pay".

they're straight as the definition results from the target audience's sexual orientation, which at lesbian sites is mostly straight.

How would you market a lesbian site differently for gay women?

IMHO i would say most (not all) in that niche are gay sites sold predominantly to the straight male and "curious" female markets for the most part. :2 cents:
