A lot of money but if you look at Microsoft profits in the last few years you`ll notice that 1.5 billion dollars isn`t so much...

Microsoft is not going to pay $1.5 billion, that just makes for a catchy headline. Microsoft will appeal and take the case all the way to the supreme court and end up either not having to pay anything or maybe just millions of dollars.
