I was just getting ready to go buy me a new vette when I saw this, basically you end up with a vette with 4 seats and a pontiac body :)

Now I just need to get my order in but they won't fucking take it, damn lamers LOL

The old GTO's were bad ass, of course this is basically a souped up GrandPrix, which by the way they severely are fucking up in 2003, but I'd love to have a fully restored classic, guess one of the 2003 will do :)

LOL it probably will suck.... Go for a g35 instead or a Acura Cls 6 speed. :) I have auto but will probably trade in for 6 speed sometime

looks good but only has 300 hp. basically a camaro - firebird motor. the vette has 350 or 405 in the zo6.

The new Goat is just a Holden.

it's actually a pretty good car, since GM didn't actually design it. they got the car from an australian company called Holden (which GM owns though). this is the actual car:

the 0-60 on this car will be no better than 7 or 8 seconds. Vette has way more HP, lighter (fiberglass). No comparison here.

One other BIG difference, that Monaro/GTO handles like nothing you Americans have ever seen. Bob Lutz pissed his pants with excitement after test driving it.

By the time you get to see it as the GTO, it may well be sitting on a 500hp 6.2 litre version of the Chevy GenIII.

Nope I don't think it looks as good as a vette, not by far. I've been ready to buy a vette for years now but have never been able to talk myself into as it's just not pratical. I can afford the car, but I don't want to buy the car and it spend 95% of it's life sitting in my garage.

Reasons:

It's only got 2 seats.
Can't drive it to work, don't work in the greatest parts of town.
Fucking idiots around here can't drive or park, it'll get dinged to death.
Already lost my license 3 times for speeding tickets, this certainly isn't going to help LOL.

I'd take the GTO over the vette for those reasons, I get 4 seats with the GTO, it's more of a daily driver than the vette is, however it will have some power when the time comes. I think it's going to be a bad ass car except for the fact that they are only going to release 20k of them a year which will probably make them priced way over what they are worth.

Ehhh I'll probably buy one, if it just doesn't do I'll daily drive it, and buy a vette to put in the garage LOL...

Front looks too much like a 90's mustang... body kindof looks like a BMW... Umm I hope it looks something like a GTO when they are done with it LOL -- otherwise what's the point?
