CCBill announces that you have to remove MasterCard logo from your sites

Just got this mail:

"As I?m sure you are aware, most companies will not allow the use of their names or trademarks without their permission. Along that line, MasterCard has issued a new rule that requires transaction processors such as CCBill to make sure that no reference to MasterCard appears on any of their client?s websites."

Pipecrew 08-05-2002 03:40 PM

ghey

Evil Chris 08-05-2002 03:46 PM

hypocrites.

FATPad 08-05-2002 03:47 PM

o.O

Are they even allowed to do that?

boneprone 08-05-2002 03:49 PM

Just another reason to switch to Jesus Bill.
If you cant trust Jesus who can you trust.

Mastercard and Jesus have worked out a special deal.
They even let us hotlink the logo right off their site!

sexygoat 08-05-2002 03:49 PM

who gives a fuck! because boneprone said so.

playa 08-05-2002 03:52 PM

Maybe we should just stop using mastercard altogether, and see how long it takes before they miss their dirty porn money, and fall to their knees like the low life little corporate scumbags they really are. (referring to mastercard, NOT ccbill)

Actually I am about to go on a shopping spree with my PAYPAL mastercard debit card right now. I love spending dirty porn money at the mall. :1orglaugh

EscortBiz 08-05-2002 03:57 PM

has nothing to do with ccbill many companies dont allow their name be used etc.

Sooner or later jesus will do the same and we will all say 'oh my god, again!'

sexy goat are we related?

gothweb 08-05-2002 04:06 PM

What is wrong with this?

Please note that this policy does not only apply to adult sites. They are protecting their brand. *I* don't take MasterCard, CCBill does. So I can't use the logo on my sites. I have to keep it on my CCBill pages. Whoopty-doo.

Anal Hobbit 08-05-2002 04:07 PM

casue if we are, you'd have Jesus dialer in your signature (which has the green light to spam here at GFY) and not the money tree dialer which you have spammed almost one too many times.

cherrylula 08-05-2002 04:08 PM

eh, i just hate big corporations and banks.

They can keep their stupid fucking logo.

Hooper 08-05-2002 05:00 PM

I wonder how that will apply if you take mastercard, but just not for adult transactions?

Since we're an authorized mc/visa merchant i assume we should feel free to take pictures of nake girls shoving mc/vs logos up their twats? ;-)

The countdown is on....

sweetcuties 08-05-2002 05:04 PM

I just got the e-mail... that's fucked up

Exploited Mastercards

CreditCard Insertions

USA is the country to produce stupid rules :
first we had to remove word "lolita" from all sites including pretty legal 18+ sites, now we need to remove word "mastercard", next we will have to remove words "mc", "fuck", "pussy" and finally words like "America" and "US" so your country would not be associated with porn biz too :)

BVF 08-05-2002 05:43 PM

does this mean that we only have to take it off of our actual site and not the CCbill signup page? The ccbill page isn't "technically" part of the site is it?

hmmm... are YOU able to modify that page? Because if you are, I wanna talk to you.

Rodent 08-05-2002 05:58 PM

Haha thats fucking retarted.

Cogitator 08-05-2002 06:36 PM

Billers like ccBill can have the credit card logos on their site. And yes, the signup page is "their's" if you are using their merchant account.

jimmyf 08-05-2002 07:43 PM

So I guess this means every one but the cc processors have to take it down.. My buddy has a main stream
merchant account for his electronic test Equipment Cal. business... am going to email him..
