Huge difference between 5400 and 7200 rpm... However, on a notebook it might not matter so much if you're just doing Outlook and IE. Whatever you do, buy your drive from NewEgg so you save the most $$$ :)

Samsung SpinPoint T166 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM for $176... So I think your's a little bit expensive. |
