How Long does it usually take for them to review your site and approve you for adsense?

i got approved in an hour but i believe it can take 1 weeks or more

It can be an hour and can be a couple of days. You just have to wait a bit.

if its not approved they normally tell you the reasons why it wasn't approved...so that way you can fix whatevere is needed to get it approved

easiest way is to put a blog on google's free blogging service and sign up for an account through that and then use it everywhere..took me under and hour that way
