Bandwidth: 50 TB/month (~200mbps) needed.
I'm looking for a cheap host that can give me a very good deal for about 50 TB per month.
Definition of "Very Good Deal": 0,025 - 0,040 per gig. It's for the hosting of movie clips from galleries. The network must be excelent with 100% SLA uptime. No need to spam me all the popular hosts from the adult industry, I know them all :) Email me directly at [email protected] with a Price per GIG. Thanks |
$8-$12/mbps for quality bandwidth its a bit on the low side :)
anyway, although we can't match that price take a look at http://www.adultxspace.com We can give you a deal around $18/mbps and on top of that we'll save your bandwidth costs with our anti hotlinking module :) |

no affiliation, but try ovh.net, located in Paris. They've been around for donkeys years and act as a mirror for sourceforge.net
http://www.ovh.com/fr/produits/bixeo...utionlarge.xml Their top-end model: Intel 2x Xeon Dual Core 2x 2.66 GHz L2: 4Mo, FSB: 1333MHz 6 Go FBDIMM DDR2 5x 750 Go (2.8 To **) SATA2 RAID HARD 5 2 x 1 Gbps connection 2x 100 Mbps bandwidth speed unlimited traffic 2 IPs (they're *REALLY* stingy with their IPs, trust me - they won't move) 99.9% SLA 593euro ($773) |

Also, based on his use of commas, I don't know if he's talking about Euros, Pounds or US Dollars. If he's talking dollars... with typical hosting traffic, you'll see about 190GB per 1Mbps 95th percentile (for burstable options). At $0.025 USD that's going to be approximately $4.75/Mbps. If he's talking Euros or Pounds, it's much more reasonable and many hosts will be able to accomodate his needs. Sam |
You can have a good plan starting with 10usd per gigabyte.
10X200 = 2,000usd a month plan is what I can offer :) |
i use splitinfinity ,try them! :)

SplitInfinity is the way to go :)

What does "2 x 100Mbps bandwidth speed / unlimited traffic" mean? 200Mbps capped? |

I recommend OC3 Networks. Contact Amy (368164844) or Caz (304883574) for a great deal.

On movie gallery traffic 50 terrabytes of traffic is going to probably be 190 or so megabit on 95th. So, searching for 2-3 servers in a cluster and 200 megabit is right on for what he seeks. At 4 cents a gig that's only $2000 per month and is going to be on the low side for all of the providers on this board with the exception of AlphaRed. Additionally, finding any provider to do this on per gigabyte billing instead of 95th is going to be a challenge on this type of buy because every provider purchases their IP either on 95th or fixed full rate gig ports - but mostly on 95th percentile. The problem with selling on per gigabyte is simple, you could burst to 500 megabit or any amount for any period of 36 hours or more and you will likely change the hosts cost structure for their monthly bandwidth expenses.
You will have more host options in the $3000-$5000/month range. I would imagine 2 or more high spec Xeons with SCSI drives in a 0 configuration and decent ram, load balanced, would meet your needs. If your budget moves up into that range, I'll throw my towel in the ring with an excellent managed offer. Cheers, Brad |
We use www.splitinfinity.com don't quite use that much bandwidth though...:thumbsup

Is a single server capable of reliably pushing out an aggregate total of up to 25 megabytes per sec? Without some serious caching your HD's voice coil would melt!! :upsidedow |
lol 5000 bucks a month for movie galleries. is that honestly justifiable?what if you never convert that would suck eh lol
