 Who here is running Vista?

		Do you like it?
I recently bought a new pc and it came installed, I missed the XP cut off by a few days and at first I was a little pissed but its been pretty decent thus far, a little strange but It shows a lot of promise! :pimp just thought I would share. |

on higher systems Dell allows you to still pick which one you want

Yeah i should have a new comp by this time next week, and it will have it installed. I'm kinda curious about it whether i'll like it or not, but guess i'm gonna find out soon enough anyway...

I like it, just be glad you didn't have to upgrade... that is the biggest pain in the ass with Vista!

im not going to use it for as long as possible...

at the moment I`m using Windows Xp Home Service Pack 2. Maybe in a few months I`ll consider upgrading to Vista.

have to have a pretty new computer to run it from our tests so far

I bought Vista with a Christmas gift card for futureshop, and I uninstalled it and returned it last week after running it for a month ... it is the most bloated piece of shit ... I am now back to Linux and very happy.

Visual tool tips and the sidebar widgets - I did the 3 finger salute and turned them off as soon as I rebooted .... I hated them :(
But I guess its personal preference. I need a computer to design, edit video, and manage my servers ... I want performance and productivity, not eye candy. |

i want it so bad but the compatibility issues are keeping me away. i regularly use like 30 different softwares and i'll be damned if a new OS is gonna fuck with that.

I've been using it for a while... and for those of you who are afraid of it, try doing a dual boot?
Get a second HD in your computer, and install it on there... it will just automatically pick up your XP installation and create a dual boot. Use Vista a bit, find out what you like, what you don't... get used to it, and then decide which OS to remove/keep. |

ive been using it since like september..
	buggy as hell |

I got it on a new laptop. HATE IT. Instantly turned off all the crap (don't have a clue what Vista even looks like) and went to a windows classic look. It's just awful..... stupid ass favorites pane on the left side of explorer that you can't get rid of. And where the hell is my documents at. Finally getting use to the up button being a back button. I sooooo wish I had an extra XP key laying around.
