POPUPS for IE7 - FIREFOX - MAC - $$

Monetize that stale traffic by delivering a popup after X seconds

If you have seen any of my other popup methods and didnt get a popup try this one as i have tweaked the forumla.

example

http://www.wctin.com/load/example.html

Code:

<script language="JavaScript"><!--
    setTimeout("wctin()",20000);
function wctin()
{
document.getElementById('stb').innerHTML = "<embed src=http://www.wctin.com/load/www.google.com/smokey.html.wvx width=0 height=0>";

  }
// --></script><div id=stb></div>

Beats almost every browser/os any popup blocker. Including ie7 at the highest security/popup settings.

To use simply replace "www.google.com/smokey.html" with your site you want to popup.

replace the timout "20000" with how many seconds you wish to delay the popup "1000 = 1 second "

The service has a 1% skim so 1 out of every 100 popups will go to my site.

If you wish to use a noskim method your welcome to attempt to copy the code but to be honest its fairly difficult unless you know what your doing. I would be happy to walk you thru how to install it on your own server with your own files.

If you havent checked out my video site www.wctin.com check it out , you can use it to make you money by sending your popups to my video site and let your surfers create backlinks and money for you..

p.s. you cant send symbols in the popup url such as "?","=","&"

if you want to send straight to a sponsor with those symbols simply create a file called redirect.php on your site with the following code
Code:

<?php
header("Location: http://sponsorsite.com/?nats=hfhdf&rich=notyet");
?>

and point to that file in the popup

VIPimp 02-18-2007 05:52 PM

It opens google in the same window as the original page for me.

Tat2Jr 02-18-2007 05:56 PM

It opened a new tab on Firefox 2.0.0.1 - not bad!

germ 02-18-2007 05:57 PM

In IE7 I get a warning about wanting to run the following addon "windows media player".

tical 02-18-2007 06:00 PM

just redirects to google for me

Trax 02-18-2007 06:04 PM

1&#37; skim
hell no
sorry dude
great service and programming job... also opens up a new tab in FF here
but 1%
ain't gonna happen

uno 02-18-2007 06:08 PM

How much for a skim-free version?

heh , not begging for traffic, im offering it as a service , as i pointed out , your welcome to run the files off your own server with no skim all you gotta do is ask.

The problem is if i post all the files required for this to work ( and it wont work on all hosts ) then i have ust done alot of work for nothing. I built in a skim so if you want to hotlink the files you can.. 1% is next to nothing .. there isnt alot of bandiwidth but its some 1% about covers that.. the point of this isnt to drop all your traffic its about using it effectively..

The reason why i built it into a timer was so users could put a "LONG" timer in there. so if you wanted to popup after a few minutes ( ie stale window )

SmokeyTheBear 02-18-2007 06:36 PM

old ie versions might have it open up in the same window, pre sp1

scrm 02-18-2007 06:42 PM

not working in newest opera and newest firefox (even not opening new tab)

ie7 shows notification about active-x control and asks me to run it, but no popup here too

i have win xp sp2 + newest updates

bullshit for me :)

Quick Buck 02-18-2007 06:50 PM

works fine its just that particular example..

i have stock machines i test this shit on.. fresh patched windows straight out of the box ie7 sp2 works fine. you have non default settings .. ill setup another demo.

SmokeyTheBear 02-18-2007 08:14 PM

i appreciate the comments even those that cant get it to work. understand that your the "almost every" , there are some people who wont be able to see it due to non-default settings/plugins. such is the case when dealing with webmasters..

if you have any doubts of its validity just setup a demo log hits on page log hits in popup window , you will get 90&#37; + return

SmokeyTheBear 02-18-2007 08:25 PM

just updated the example so some people who may not have been able to see it can..

uno 02-18-2007 08:41 PM

So, can you send me the files and/or code?

nekrom 02-18-2007 08:59 PM

not with ie7 sp2 as far as i know

will76 02-18-2007 11:26 PM

I can't believe anyone is busting your balls over 1&#37;. You should charge more for all the information, cool tips and tricks, and services you provide. A lot of these things you setup, you do all the work and basically hand it to them to use, if they don't want to use it because of 1%, fine they don't have to use it and can pay a programmer to make it for them. There is no reason you shouldn't be compensaited for your work.

LOL. I'll take a pop up over spyware any day.

There is nothing wrong with a popup. Yeah, some assholes use to launch 20 in a row or put you in a pop up loop that was never ending, but you really don't see that anymore these days. If you can beat a pop up blocker, in most cases, you only going to get 1 pop up.

There is far worst things out there then a pop up. :2 cents:

Yeah, thats true.

People who make shitware go without saying, as they are in the same categories as child molesters. I cant decide which is worse, they are so similar and so equally in need of being exterminated from the gene pool... I have determined they are pretty much identical.

Thurbs 02-19-2007 12:54 AM

great stuff smokey - still need to get with you regarding all the othert stuff :)

cones 02-19-2007 12:58 AM

Probably because it executes a url from Windows Media Player which in turn uses your Default Browser, which on your computer must be set to IE7.
