AFF traffic leak?
When a surfer enters an AFF webcam hosted gallery through a link at our TGP site and clicks to see a movie, a big alt.com popup appears and covers the page with our code in the URL. Not our ref code in the new page. Please test if you see the same.
(Not a Zango popup) |
once again
|
if its with our code whats the problem?

There is an option somewhere that you change to whatever popup you want and you change the pID to your own.
|
Found it - go to 'Setup and promo" - its the option at the bottom of that list.

Can anyone test the webcam hosted galleries please? |
You must click to see a movie to trig the popup.
|
I just tried it from my account - it comes up with a popunder with my ALT.com account I have set in the options.
If you have 'no popunder' set then change it to a popunder with your ID and ask AFF to look into it. The video gals are obviously are not reading the 'no-popunder' setting. |

No way this can be a mistake from AFF. It need programming to make it happen. And where is the other affiliate code coming from? If it is a mistake ( blocking popup option not works ) it should be our code of course! I have asked my my rep at AFF about Zango, and he said it should be solved in a few days.... That was a month ago. I do not think discussing this with AFF is an option, really. |
Why doesn't everyone know by now they should drop a clearly shady company like AFF? I did months ago.
|
It's kind of scary. Just wonder how much traffic one loses.
Well, it can be a little difficult and take some time to drop a company you have used for several years. You have spent a lot of time and money to build the domains etc. to generate traffic and money. And change that will surely take time, money and efforts. |

Why does every little mistake (IF thats what it is) by AFF turn into a massive retard fest?
There are many smaller progs that have massive traffic leaks as a policy that get no mention. You can fix this yourselves in 20 seconds as I have said - why not do that and then talk to AFF about it. 99% of your traffic wont even allow the popunder in the first place. |
Quote:
99%. Not true. They bypass the popup blocker! A small mistake? Come on! Zango is a small mistake as well I assume? Why don't you fix the Zango problem and then talk to AFF about it. |

It is funny indeed. If you publish thefts like shaving, scumware there are always people here defending it. I just wonder why? You can't stop the misbehavior if you don't publish it. They always try to get a "personal solution" to silence the critic. And all the others??
See will76. He got a lot of bad posting for open our eyes about AFF-Zango. Can you for a second believe that AFF does not know if they have a popunder or not loading in their galleries? Here is the link to the popup: http://alt.com/go/p17440c.subpop1?mustgounder=1 p1744c is NOT our affiliate code! |

AFF and the programs that you can promote with them have a large and complicated affiliate program. Perhaps they should give an IQ test to potential affiliates? |
What a fucking bullshit
|
More bullshit from a shady company.

For some reason, "cock up", "mistake", "error", etc are not the first words that come to mind when I read threads like this. The only cock up here is affiliates still pushing AFF. The only fix is to drop the thieves. |
What we should be saying to you, is that you are an idiot for promoting a company who uses Zango to steal your traffic.
why not promote one of the sponsors who doesn't support this? |

At the end of the day they pay me more per unique than any other program. I dont give a fuck how they do it as long as their checks are bigger than all the others. Its as simple as that....... If it involves Zango, shaving or dodgy Gals - if they send me more per unique than anyone else then they win. |

If you have any traffic at all then you are about to become the most popular guy on GFY.com. |
|
don't argue with damian he is one of AFF's biggest supporters here and in his eyes they can do no wrong.
|
The default in any program should be "no traffic leaks". AFF has apparently set a system up so that unless you do specific steps, you will have a traffic leak by default, and a good one too.
Congrats to AFF for finding yet another way to twist the system into their favor. |
You are getting the pop that we use for our typin traffic. There is probably an error in your link somewhere and it is crediting as typin traffic. Please contact me so I can look at your link and see what is causing this. By default all affiliate links are console free.

But i mean the argument is useless anyways , why in the heck would anyone work for a company that pays someone to overwrite their cookies ? If zango was just a "usefull" marketting tool they could simply make it so zango doesnt overwrite your cookie thus gaining zango signups while not screwing their affiliates, the mere fact they intentionally overwrite the cookie says alot i think. I really really dont understannd why lars is continuing with this method it makes no sense.. A great company aff decides to team up with a company just hit by the ftc for millions in fines for installing spyware. Makes no sense whatsoever aff was doing great. the only explanation i can come up with is perhaps they (zango ) bought a nice chunk of aff or something. |
I wonder how many affiliats AFF have lost because of zango?

The link(s) are delivered by AFF in the TGP area. Whenever a "link error" or not, it shall not generate a popup with your code in it. We are not talking about one link. Below one of many: adultfriendfinder.com/go/page/stream_ffadult_10&pid=pxxxx They generate the popup: alt.com/go/p17440c.subpop1?mustgounder=1 The same with all links in the TGP area. By the way, Sagi, has you deleted the TGP option from the promotion area? Can't find it anymore. " By default all affiliate links are console free" You say. Funny! Who generate the popup? Allah? When a surfer enter the TGP our link is still in the URL. But when trying to see a movie AFF:s popup is all over the screen. If the surfer succeed in taking away the popup and watch the movie, there is a big txt link just below the window "Click here for real women" Our affiliate code? NO. This one:adultfriendfinder.com/go/?pid=pxxxxxc&pg=0&ip=auto ( AFF code ) Still delivered by Allah? |

Earnings per unique are meaningless. Put up an appealing blind link and your earnings per unique will fall. Filter your traffic more carefully and they will rise. If you want to be near as analytical as you are claiming, work on earnings per impression. AFF offer a destination for your traffic. That's all. They have promo pages which convert in the same range as at least a dozen other sponsors and that is the best you can say. You, not they, are otherwise responsible for the volume of traffic you send them and how well it converts. How anyone who has been in the business a while can see it any other way, is beyond me. There are no magic sites, let alone magic sponsors. You take something which is basically saleable, you learn how to sell it and you give it whatever exposure you want. There are bandwagons from time to time which briefly make that process easier. New sites often earn their keep for a few weeks. But in the long run your income depends entirely on your own activities. Work with whoever you like, but if you are going to defend your choice, at least make sense. |
when did you notice this?
