DefCon was this weekend in Las Vegas. Did anyone go?

I had a friend who was at DefCon 2 and 3... What are the up to now? (The name gets less impressive every year, given how DEFCON ratings work...) Sounds like it is a blast, or at least used to be.

does that mean you were grossed out, but curious and clicked anyways and signed up and are currently lining up traffic for the program contained therein?


I forgot about defcon being this weekende...I was going to go and it completely slipped my mind :(

I've always had fun in years past playing "spot the fed" and "spot the lamer wannabe who saw the movie "Hackers" and thinks he can hack"

isnt that like 90% of the attendance? I am inclined to believe the truly knowledgeable would never even showup at this type of event

about the only ones who show up anymore are the white hats and those looking to score jobs with security companies and the government...

They must have their own gatherings and shit that are private and where everyone knows everyone else.
